I wore this casual outfit with blue T-shirt, dark green wool cardigan, jeans, gray suede athletic shoes, blue and green glass earrings, and a copper and pewter toned Christmas tree pin today. I met my art group friends for sack lunch at the sr. center. The activity room and much of the building have been out of commission for the past month while new HVAC systems are installed. We all miss each other and painting with the group every week. The renovations will be done in two more weeks, thank goodness.

I also ended up not at home for dinner. Long story: my techie husband succumbed to temptation and bought a robo-vacuum last week. Part of the set up is letting it run around and create “maps” of your home. To expedite that, he moved lots of things around, which forced decluttering some shoes and other clothing of his, so he reorganized quite a bit of his clothing. Best part of the story: this afternoon, he began in the family room, and had to move a huge pile of electronic stuff out of a corner (see empty corner in photo 2) to get the robo-vac to map all the corners. He said, maybe it will motivate me to clean out some of this stuff like my clothes.

When the map was done, I said I’d help him put the stuff back (reluctantly), but he already had two big boxes set aside for recycling, and then he set to sorting and pitching for at least an hour and a half, maybe more. I was at the ready with empty boxes and carrying stuff up to the front door and then helped him load most into his truck. At least 90% of that part of the room was given over for trash disposal, electronics or general recycling, or a small box to be taken to the church to put in the sound room. Yay! So I said we needed to go out for pizza! I could’ve cooked but I was tired, too.

Sorry for the blabbing, but this has been a wonderful occasion for me. Now I hope we can get some progress on the other 2/3 of the area. We’re going to have the upstairs interior of the house painted in late January, and then the downstairs a couple months later, with new flooring done downstairs, so that will mean even more rearranging and moving furniture may motivate completing the project. Thanks for listening!
