Looks like I have a uniform

Apparently I wear the same outfit, essentially, every day. I even wore a light blue scarf the first day, but took the photo before putting it on. Maybe I'll try wearing something different next week...
On the other hand, I've been comfortable and warm despite the snow!

Sometimes it's helpful to wear what works. I love your toucan sweater! Sounds like maybe you are ready to challenge yourself to try something new?

If you want to change things up, one change you could try is different color jeans/bottoms. I've done this over the past couple of years and now I have more variation without changing the total silhouette. Olive, tan, white bottoms are some of the ones I wear now. I admit, I still wear jeans a lot in fall/winter but I try to vary them more than I used to. Different washes, different style, rolling up the jeans when you wear booties, etc. can go a long way in changing things up. Semi-tucking and wearing a belt is another option of course.

It may be a uniform, but I see a lot of variety here in colors and styles of your pullovers. These styles work nicely for you!

Thanks everyone! I have been enjoying the simplicity of getting dressed with this "uniform" this week.

Jeanie, the toucan sweater is a recent purchase from J. Crew. It called to me from across the store. I'm glad someone else appreciates it.

texstyle, those are good ideas and I do follow that advice too- I have black, grey, and burgundy jeans that I wear a lot in the winter. And in summer the jeans are hidden away because it's too hot! (except maybe my new cropped ones.)

Your uniform has a lot of polish, even as it works for the busy times in your house! I remember being happy to have an efficient way to get dressed when my kids were little and the days were both casual and jam packed with fun.

It is working for you! This is very similar to my daily work at home outfit. I like Tex's suggestion if you want to add variety. Another way is with patterned bottoms.

Looks like a good working formula to me! I basically wear sweater+jeans+boots in cold weather too, and try to get my variety by looking for different shapes across those items -- swingy sweaters, fitted sweaters, pattern/color, etc. and then for jeans skinny, straight, cropped, pattern/color, etc. Quite like the change in footwear you've got for the week, I think that helps give a lot more differentiation than you might expect.

I remember that stage. It was early 90s and my uniform was long jumpers (sweaters) over leggings with boots or sneakers or some suede black Oxfords I had. I would often wear chunky socks over the leggings in the jumper colours. Ah, memories! Your blond tousle-haired photobomber brings back memories of David as a toddler- he is 20 now and 6 foot 3!
I love your uniform. Especial faves are pale blue jumper in pic 1, orange scarf, and toucan sweater. That would call to me too! We have the cutest fox or horse jumpers in the shops at present. I am resisting. So not a horsey of hunting person!

Nothing wrong with a uniform that works well for you, especially as a busy mom. I wear jeans almost daily and have added colors and a couple patterns for variety. My last additions have been wide crops. You can achieve variety. Try some minimal and some maximal outfits with your uniform, new to you color combinations or textures, high, medium and low rise jeans.

I like your uniform, and think you achieve plenty of variety from your scarves and tops. You've had some good ideas for changing things up - if you wish to do so.

I'm a big fan of uniform dressing. I've been sporting the combination of a blazer and jeans and boots for years. When it works, why mess with it, right?
