Looking for: refined white sneakers

I'm after some refined white leather sneakers. I'm covered for the athletic/sportier look, and am actively seeking something that is a little "dressier" , if that makes sense. Hoping NOT Ecco's, as I'm not convinced they are quite me , and not a hi-top. Any line on something you've bought or seen would be greatly appreciated. I'm on-line shopping fatigued.

Oliver Cabell has some sleek-looking sneakers. They seem to be made quite well. Stylebee did a review on a pair of their flats and is considering the sneakers to do a review on next.

I don't have much, but I'm really interested to follow what you find, as this is a category I'm also sort of casually shopping recently, and I'm not a big Eccos fan. I kind of like the Rothy's lace-up, but they're off-puttingly pricey and the rubber-colored sole might put you off on the dressiness. Also not leather.

Highly recommend white lace shoes. I am saving up for these, being a big fan of Gainsbourg!

Sheryl - thank you. I was not familiar with this brand. Nice looking product, but still somewhat casual for what I have in mind.

Jenn - Hmm. Now those are interesting. If I click on the link, I'll lose my typing , so off to check it out in a minute. I agree with Rothys being off-puttingly pricey. Why is everything so expensive these days????

Janet - yes to slip-ons. In fact, if I could recreate a pair of Everlane slip on sneakers I had in grey , mission would be accomplished! Or maybe they'd look like nursing shoes? Ack, I don't know.

Grr. Those Rothys are really appealing, but $220 US?? Plus shipping and taxes = at least a $300 Cdn shoe. NO. What is up with their pricing ??

Cole Haan? Vince (although they may be pricey)? Via Spiga sometimes has styles that look a lot like Vince but at easier prices...

I’m also remembering maybe All Black made a good refined sneaker style. Sorry I’m not being more helpful with links. On my phone with a less than stellar connection.

I love those Janet, and would be all over them for work, but....have to stick to my plan here. Plus they are close to $500 Cdn - LOL. Good recommendations on the other lines .

a couple of years ago i had the 1st pair (Bagatt) in blue...super comfy and i wore them so much that i wore the rubber sole down. great price (at least US) for what they are -(100% leather with some flair), if they were a brand you or i had heard of i'm sure they would be 3X as much. the 2nd pair were interesting looking, i know nothing else about them. the 3rd pair are probably not what you are looking for, and are of course designer rip offs, but included them because why not. the everlanes definitely read sneaker, but do feel a little elevated. the cole hanhs are nice, and are usually really comfortable

I have been thinking about a similar pair. Have been checking out Veja, Frankie4 ( Australian) and Superga.

I think I will wait until Fall- my feet get too hot in summer for leather sneakers. I am really wanting all the shoes right now more than anything else.

Lisa, I have several pairs of Cole Haan oxfords, and found they run true to size. I love the fit and quality.

Funnily enough, I had recently ordered the Grand Crosscourt sneaker, men's version, in ivory.

Because it's a final sale, I was hesitant, but the sales agent told me they will make a one-time accommodation on a final sale return if the shoe doesn't fit.

Kate - I'm looking at the Grand Court and have it in my cart on a Cdn website. Not quite sure yet, but I might order them and see. The one pair that bj1111 linked were EXACTLY what I want, but not available in my size - 8.

Angie - I like the Cole Haan oxfords but don't want a knit for winter. That style is great though. The Campers scare me. lol. I certainly appreciate you linking the others you have found . I'm still looking for just the right degree of something I can't find . Basic court shoes I'm covered for - Stan Smiths, Converse All Stars, etc. I really want something with more sophistication.

You know, between my search for black Chelsea boots and these white sneakers, SO MUCH is sold out in my size right across the board from all retailers . Kind of odd at this time of year. Inventory really must still be an issue.

I feel your pain, Lisa! I was on a quest, too, for somethings a little ... sleeker than Stan's or Connies (both of which I have.) I saw a woman interviewer on TV half a year ago, wearing a smart casual outfit with the perfect little tennies. Athletic looking, but refined. I was going to say you would not believe how much time I spent looking for them... but, well, so many of my fab friends can probably relate. I'd still snap up that elusive shoe if it showed up today. sigh.

I don't comment much, but wanted to recommend some shoes.

I have these: Chelsea Crew Sprint Lea in white. They look like the CH but in leather. They are lower to the ground than they look on the picture, so more sophisticated than sporty. True to size and super comfy. I've constantly worn these for over 2 years now and they're still perfect. They look like oxfords but sporty.
