Dianne, those are gorgeous! Thanks for chiming back in with the link. I am confused though because they are listed as black, but the photo looks almost a little bronze? I have a knee-high style from Aquatalia, and I am so happy with them for comfort, looks, quality, and weather-proofing. Got to find those babies on sale though.

Astrid, I do love clarks, but those are still a little tougher than I wanted.
I guess I am really being a bit goldilocks here. I want a boot that can work with jeans and dresses, and most of all with my new black winter shorts with tights to wear as a casual style. My other criteria is it has to work with my toothpick shins and calves.
ETA: Vix, dangit, somehow I deleted my response to you. Yes I am wearing that coat quite a bit. I also bought a thin down shell that I can pop on under other coats, so that I can switch things up more should the bitter cold visit us again. I love the blue colour. The collar is a bit high, as seems to be the trend this year, but lately I don't even see myself in the mirror enough to decide what I think about that. Hopefully it works okay.
