My plan for the unofficial start to the summer season in MN when outdoor patios open and the sun shines everywhere was to wear a dress to a dinner party on Saturday, a dress to a picnic on Sunday and a dress to a BBQ on Monday.
Well guess what mother nature had other plans. cold on Friday, colddddddddddd for the picnic and cold for this afternoon. And may I mention no sun.
So here is what I wore:
Saturday dinner party: Yummie Tummie camisole, floral blouse, gold snakeskin express trousers, large gold clutch, pink jacket, nude platforms. makeup using http://www.maskcara.com technique of HAC- highlight and contour.
large gold hoops. The makeup helped me 'own' the look.
Sunday picnic: orange pants, customized converse shoes- they say Sona on the side, h an m denim top, purple Ann Taylor base layer with Yummie Tummie camisole underneath. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrr but playing dodge ball warmed me up. customized clay earrings and pendant in browns and oranges made by a friend of mine. I don't think the open denim shirt as jacket looked frumpy on me. There were many frumpy capris spotted by me on my friends but I of course did not say anything. I have however offered my shopping and styling services to all my friends for free. waiting for my first 'client'!!
Monday: Ann Taylor loft dress in magenta, day makeup in violets, Talbots sandals, Alice and Joy black and gold zipper bag, black and gold arm candy and earrings. love the dress on me!
I think for all the crazy changes I had to make to my planned outfits it did not turn out so bad. Cool beans.
What do you think?
Frank, honest feedback always welcome.
