Do you guys remember the song by Cake with the Lyrics "I want a girl with a short skirt and a long jacket" Love them!

Here's an outfit combo that kind of uses Angie's Friday Formula for a long jacket and midi. The jacket isn't too terribly long, but I love the outfit...will have to wait for fall to wear it..so hot, lol!

That's me in the very front. I need a new black jacket and can see a longer one could work well in my wardrobe and hopefully with this outfit. #idon'tliketoshopforjackets. This was me and a group of friends visiting the Dior exhibit in Denver last fall. If you're anywhere near Dallas, I HIGHLY recommend it!!

Inge, I love the band Cake!! I just remembered I may have posted this skirt before, lol! I don't have a ton of clothes (although dh would argue that.) I think the Dior exhibit may have been or is in London. We had a great time...And we went to tea at the Brown Palace, which is super special! Do you know about the Unsinkable Molly Brown?

You look gorgeous. Love the belted jacket too. I’ve been experimenting with that look too. But you need to be able to commit to wearing the jacket all day, which is hard for me because I get warm

Brooklyn, it was late fall, so it was pretty cool. In fact we all had coats to hang now that I think of it. I just had on a knit cami, so taking the jacket off wasn't an option. But I'm with you--I've been pretty hot this summer.

Runcarla, I will have to listen to my Cake CD and focus on the trumpeter! Actually, the two women behind me are the only ones I know well. The woman in the bright printed dress is wearing Trina Turk. She calls herself the Thriftinista, takes women on bus tours to thrift stores, donates the money to Goodwill Charities as a philanthropic arm of her super successful plumbing business.
