Hi everyone! Still stuck in winter's grip right now (it snowed AGAIN today!), but trying doggedly to prepare for the warmer weather that surely MUST lie ahead. (it must, mustn't it?!?!)

I have had some luck in the last few weeks with lightweight summer toppers and feel like I'm now in pretty good shape for the season ahead. All paired below with linen pants I'm still debating.

  • 1-2 cognac cotton/linen blend Christian Siriano jacket via Marshalls. The next size down looked tidier but pulled badly across the back, so I've accepted more slouch. I like the stand up collar on this a lot. I have cognac sneakers and sandals to pair with it.
  • 3-4 white linen Jones New York trucker style jacket. I figure I can't go wrong with this. I have white sneakers, cream oxfords and casual white sandals,
  • 5-7 beige cardigan. Nothing fancy, but I like it for some reason. I am trying to find a beige tank to pair with it for a bit of a summer 'twin set' for when I want a slightly more preppy vibe. Still a bit on the fence about this and much depends on finding the right partners for it.
  • 8-9 olive Tahari tencel trucker jacket I got last fall. It might be a bit TOO slouchy now, but the weight is perfect so I might see if I can still make it work with the odd outfit.

I wouldn't say no to a dark denim jacket, but with these in my closet I can happily wait until just the right one comes along. It has to have some give and be fairly soft/lightweight. I am not on team stiff denim.

We're supposed to start a return to the office (part time) this summer, and I think I could get away with any of these in our office -- yet they will clearly work more casually as well. (One of my goals is to focus on adding pieces that are office-appropriate but not "office only")

In any case, thanks for looking! Comments and suggestions are always welcome.
