The weather in Manitoba hasn't been great. A friend/co-worker lives in Winnipeg and was just telling us about borrowing a neighbour's submersible pump to get rid of the water around her mother's house on the weekend from the storm. Then snow!!

Onwards to spring! Looks like you found some lovely items! My favourites are the white jacket and the beige cardigan because of the textured pattern and that it looks lightweight, which is good for summer. The olive trucker jacket is a good colour, but maybe scrunch/cuff the sleeves?

Yes, 'not great' is actually an understatement to describe our weather! Sorry to hear of your friend's water woes -- a friend of mine was in a similar boat. We have thankfully stayed dry.

I usually do scrunch sleeves as I wear things, so good reminder to do so in my photos. Sometimes I find it harder to keep a jacket scrunched. (Sweaters with elastic in the cuff know to 'stay'. Jackets can have a bit more of a mind of their own.)

These look like a great solution to your summer dressing dilemma! I'll admit I'm a little envious that you can still wear toppers in summer - I wore my billowy kaftan today because it's already hit 31C & the thought of having to wear real clothes makes me want to cry (but the fact that it's just the *start* of summer makes me want to cry even more)!

Anyway lol, weather rant aside, I wonder whether part of why you like the beige cardigan is the lack of collar, plus the ability to add waist definition (with the middle button) without a stiffly structured waist? If so, it might help to look for some collarless shackets too?

PS - I think Angie has some videos or past posts explaining how to scrunch sleeves to get them to stay up. I vaguely remember that using both a roll *&* scrunch technique will effectively tuck sleeves into place?

Light summer toppers seem to be a bit of a unicorn, but looks like you found some! I find it difficult to feel complete without a third piece in the summer so this is a nice solution.

Isn't it the truth, Zaeobi -- weather woes don't come only in the form of being too cold! I think you've sort of nailed it with the cardigan. I like that I can button it just under the bust (as opposed to mid waist where it does me no favours.). Similarly, with the cognac jacket, I could fasten it at the neck and let it fall open in a V from there. It fakes at shape/structure. I'll check out the sleeve tips!!

So right, Lana. A third piece helps me feel finished and maybe a bit more secure, in ways, but it's hard to find the right ones.
