Hi everyone,
I have just posted about my new challenge - Let's play with colours.

And here is my first outfit already, non-neutral monochrome.

I tried to create a royal blue monochrome outfit with a satin blazer, wool trousers and a larger structured bag.

In the first version, I added a knitted sweater tied over my shoulders - hoping for a more casual vibe. The second version is with a large scarf, which is predominantly royal blue as well. The shades of the blue are not exactly the same, but I don't think it matters as the textures of the different items are very different. Oh, and please disregard my black clogs, in the real life version I will wear black boots. I have had all the items several years, but I actually never wore them together like this.

I had high expectations for this outfit. In theory, it seemed really clever. But in reality, I must say I am disappointed. I think it became a bit boring, a bit flat...

What do you think? Maybe I should wear some lighter colour near my face? But then, it would not be monochrome...

So, how to do a good monochrome look?
