Layers of lavender and burgundy

It turns out I have quite a bit of lavender and burgundy--more than is shown here. I do find it a delightful combination, and so I decided to try it out.

1. Tissue paper turtleneck, gifted, with reversible patterned ruana, Chicos. I don't wear too often because it falls off! But very pretty.

2. Bubblegum/lilac cable knit sweater, Shein/thrifted, with burgundy plaid flannel, Jockey.

3. and reversed

4. Mock turtleneck/ruffle-sleeve lavender sweater with patterned square scarf, both QVC.com.

5. Same sweater as 4, same flannel as 3, with felt wool hat, heart purse, and well-loved Mary Janes

6. showing thrifted, well-loved plaid purse--goes with plaid shirt

7. showing thrifted floral shoulder bag

8. tissue paper turtleneck under lavender sweater--looks better in person

9. fun one--turtleneck with muscle tee with Madewell short-sleeve sweater (thrifted)....if you see a spot on my face--it's the mirror...

10. same

P.S. Ket--I know you asked what head band I bought recently--here it is in gold. I will try to make it a find.

1 - Pretty colors and print with the ruana which adds so much texture and fun to this outfit.

2 and 3 - I adore this color sweater on you and it's lovely paired with the darker burgundy shirt for layering.

4 - Another beautiful pattern and print with the scarf here. That teal and pink is divine!

5 and 6- The peek of burgundy shirt under the sweater is such a fun detail for this layered look. And of course my matchy matchy self adores that your flat match your shirt and bag!

7 - Another pretty print here with the bag. You have an excellent eye for prints with your accessories.

8 - A fun layered look, the shoes are everything with this outfit, they had so much visual interest. The open style keeps the darker shoe from weighing down the outfit.

9 and 10 - Fun layered look here as well. I like the peek of colors with the tripe layering on top. The pearl necklace and bracelet are a subtle and refined accent.

11 and 12 - I need to try this scarf trend. It works very well with the skirt here. The white in the scarf also picks up the pearl necklace really well too.

Wow, these are great combos and you wear them the best way. This is a masterclass in layering . I like layering and for me doesn't work so I am always excited to see that on others. I especially like #6 , beautiful combination, and #11, scarf gives a special effect to the outfit, stunning.

Carol I love the last outfit. I was not that interested in the scarf around the torso trend but wow you have nailed it. Tied a bit looser and with the other shapes in your outfit it just works!

neral! Here is a fun crochet pattern hat I have.
With the 3 layered shirt and skirt look--I am rather proud of that one, even though it's unconventional. And I agree! I think I pullled off the scarf trend, although I did not wear it out. I think it really needs to be played with to make it look natural.

Mirjana--thank you. I don't know a lot about layering, but I like it when it works. With your more classic style, I bet you could do thin turtlenecks under sweaters, vests, etc.
Lise--thank you! Yes, probably my artistic side squints at that challenge and tries to figure it out. Opposing planes and lines work---add in a low chain belt, and it would work even more!
Dee--thanks. I like when a skirt works, and this one does. The shoes are a lucky thrifted find from years ago, that still have a lot of life.

You look fab in all the outfits but my favourite are # 5-8 and # 9-10. Lovely colors and interesting combinations. I (almost) never layer, because I am fussy and impatient, but I do understand that a layered outfit looks interesting and artistic. I love your shoes!
