Thanks to all who responded to my last thread where I was stressing about my dress. I'm still stressing despite your lovely answers, but it's not your fault! I blame the fact that I wiped out and popped out my kneecap on the way home (fortunately it popped back in again, but walking is difficult right now). Ugh! Anyway, for this reason I won't respond to everyone just yet. Please know I greatly appreciate everyone's input, and no one should feel obliged to hold back at any point in this process!
So here's the latest incarnation of the dress. It's more sewn together, but she has to take it up in the shoulder and finish the back. Tania agrees that the halter effect is more dramatic in the sleeveless form, but thought we'd achieve a good compromise by doing a shorter sleeve as you'll see here.
I welcome all further comments. I can still call and issue last-minute instructions tomorrow morning:
