I didn’t have the opportunity to really “dress” over the weekend, but today I need to leave the house, so I took the opportunity to wear an OBG and partake in the cobalt-black-white party.
This IRO leather jacket is about 8 years old and too snug to zip comfortably now, but I refuse to let go. I simply wear it with a large scarf that fills the gap and keeps me warm. I adore this lightweight but large cashmere/silk blend scarf — all my favorite shades of blue in one fabulous piece! It was a small splurge from Santa Fe last year but I knew it would be a workhorse.
Worn over Rag & Bone white V-neck sweater (really more somewhere between a heathered light cream and grey but it reads as white-ish and doesn’t fight with my coloring as cream sometimes does), and AG straight jeans.
I got these suede lug-sole boots last week — not a need but I loved that they are lightweight, comfortable, edgy, and yet have a touch of refinement. I like the simplicity and lack of embellishments.
And even my socks are cobalt! I got these at a craft fair a year ago. Hoping they stay up all day — I am having a devil of a time with my socks slipping down inside my boots.
Added black cashmere floppy beret/beanie and my thrifted Longchamp triangle sling bag for the final grounding touches of black.
