Late PMWIW - YouLookFab Forum

Been super busy, but browsing the forum when I get a chance. My closet happiness is pretty high right now mostly remixing/not much buying. Hope to find time and daylight to photograph some of my favorite fall/winter outfits.

These are luck of the draw everyday outfits for the 'keeping it real' everyday wear, and photo somewhere new challenges. Weather cold, and super windy (not great for scarfs actually as they want to fly off).

fauxfur bag - Goodwill (this has been a favorite this winter)
tartan wool scarf - inherited from grandpa, from Scotland

Glad you posted! I'm a big fan of lace up boots, although I'm not sure how I would style them for myself. Your styling --- blue with black --- is deep, but rich, for winter.

And I'm coveting that bag. It reminds me of a tribble (ancient Star Trek reference). I wanted a tribble for my 5th birthday. I don't suppose it's also a muff?

Wow, you blow me away! I love how your outfits are always just the right combo of moody, soft, tough, ladylike, edgy, dreamy. And I love the whimsy of the fur purse (so apropos given your screen name...). Those lace up boots are to die for! And love the purple black combo and the red plaid scarf! You look sensational. I actually wanted to comment yesterday but got yanked away, and I admit, it felt wrenching because you are so stunning in that first photo! The purple top adds so much depth. I like that you shopped the men's dept. And the lacing of the boots also seems to add texture.

That bag is a total winner. It's extra fun paired with plaid, of course, but it's brilliant in itself -- so much so that I am even thinking of making my own version. I wouldn't be that hard to do, I imagine.

Rabbit, I always look forward to your WIWs. I adore the first look, and I may have to pull out my lace-up tall boots today now that I've seen that (the heels are a little high for much walking, but I have spent the last few days in low heels, so I think I can swing it today). You look great in those blue/purple shades too. And the scarf and the bag in #2 just make the outfit. Too fab!

shevia - yeah, my feet were a little cold too. I wore these shoes because they are comfortable and it was supposed to be sunny, I hadn't counted on windchill. Next time I'll go with boots.

Beth Ann - actually weren't Tribbles in the most recent Star Trek movie too? One got reanimated. It's not a muff unfortunately, just a zipper bag. My cats seem to believe it's alive though, there is a lot of cautious approaching and batting at it with their paws.

Natalie, those are actually all things I'm drawn to for my personal style thinking about it, thanks for putting them to words, they will be helpful to think about when I'm creating outfits.

Suz - I bet the bag would be easy to make, it's just fake fur with a lining, zipper and strap. Lightweight and the texture of the fur disguises any lumps the content makes.

I love them both, you are the Queen of Jeans with your miles long legs. You wear black really well too, accented with color. #2 with the outside location and the windblown Grandpa scarf is ultra stylish and authentic.
