K/r Zippy bolero - now with Jeans pics

So in this thread I asked for k/r advice about my zippy bolero

Opinions were quite divided!

There were a few suggestions to wear it with a dress. I decided that whether or not it works with a dress it has got to work with jeans, for me to keep it and get adequate CPW.

So DD8 took these for me outside for a change (on DH's mobile)

I would want the bolero to work with a majority of these looks for it to be worthwhile

BTW I have side view of most of these too, if you want to see them. I only included one here

Anne, I think it works well with all of these looks except the most casual in pic 6.
Thanks for the inspiration- I purchased a dressy-ish cropped one recently and haven't worn it thinking it wouldn't work with my casual mainly jeansy dress style. You have proved otherwise!
I particularly like it in the more contrasty outfits 2-4.

Forgot to mention
1. The top in pic 2-3 is blue and white stripe
2. Lots of these tops look too short to me. Tops seem to just get shorter, and I have a long torso.

All looks fine to my eye. I think all that's happening in #6 is there are too many things happening around the neck/bustline. So if you find a lowermost layer (cami or T) that's got a higher neckline or is the same colour as either jacket or T-shirt, you'd be set!

Thanks Manidipa. I think you are right about #6, I never normally wear that top under than tunic - would usually wear a white, brown or black cami. But I purged my camis a few months ago and appear to only have pink ones left! I was even searching through my holding zone to see if I could find a cami, and when unsucessful put the purple top under. Must go shopping for camis!

I think it works pretty well with jeans! It adds a bit of dress up in a fun way. I personally like it in #1 the best. The tops are all long enough in my eye. Some a little too long even! I think I just like the mid tone "dustry" color of the #1 top with the black and how the shoe color bookends the top. A dusty blue/lavender would look nice too I think. I would also try it with dressier black shoes, like a sexier sandal style maybe...

I think it's a fun outfit item!

I also think it works but the vest has ALGO so it works best over a simple top with a plain neckline. I think it is cute.

It will definitely add a slightly dressy aspect to jeans and a simple top or blouse. Team it with cute flats in summer or sleek booties in colder months and you have a fresh fun look!
