K/R: Thinking Pink! - YouLookFab Forum

I have had pink on the brain lately! I don't know why. Maybe it's that I have cabin fever with all our snow and cold weather and I'm eager for spring to arrive.
I've been noticing pink sweaters everywhere, and wanting one, but haven't seen one that seemed right until today. I also had been admiring Angie's fuzzy sweater, but had decided I just couldn't pull that look off.

So today I was checking out the sale rack at Anthropologie, and they had this fun fuzzy pink sweater in my size, but I really kind of wanted an oversized look, so I grabbed the XL to try, too.

Anyway, I LOVED the oversized look of the XL, while to me the S was just meh.

Trying it here with light wash jeans, slim black pants, and white jeans. Do any of these look OK? Does the oversized fit work?
Have I taken leave of my senses? Can this work on a woman of a certain age? Any styling ideas are welcome!

Well I believe Radiant Orchid is the colour of 2014 so Parsley you look to be right on trend. I think this is lovely on you. I particularly like the neckline. Lovley on it's own or with a scarf in the actual neckline.

These all look good to me! I am especially fond of that first combo. I think the oversized fit works well, too. The neck is kind of big, but I don't think that's a deal breaker.

Omg! It is totally gorgeous on you! I would never have thought to go up to an XL from a Small. Totally works. Besides...pink is my favorite color:-)

It does list "rabbit" in the fabric content. Eek. I'm trying to stay away from angora, too.

Oh, drat. I love it so. I can't wear angora -- I break out in hives from it. Alas...I adore the neckline of that so much -- and it looks so wonderful on you. I wonder if I always layered it, if I'd be okay....hmmmm. Notice me leaving any ethical qualms right out of this -- something that looks so great has a way of pushing those aside. If I weren't allergic, I would go for it.

Hives wouldn't be worth it. And it is quite fuzzy, so people who are bothered by that and some shedding wouldn't like it, for sure.

I really like this look. I have been looking for some tunic type tops myself and you have really mastered that. Plus the color is gorgeous. Absolutely keep. What did the small look like on you- just curious. Wish I had the cuts to get out of my size zone and try something like this! My youngest daughter does this well. Me- not well at all!

Also love those black pants- may I ask what brand? I am currently black-pants-less!

Gorgeous, specially in 1, the light wash denim, deep pink, black of your hair and shoes, and the white clutch make a great color combination. I think the oversize works perfectly and so do the proportions. You're ahead of many of with this spring shade!

Thanks! I may try ordering them. We have a nordstroms 15 minutes away (AKA "the mother ship") so returns are easy!
And, I definitely like the oversized look better!

Pam, the fabric in these is SO wonderful. They feel fantastic on, and have a lot of stretch. I'm thinking seriously about getting the gray, too.

Ok ordered the pants. I have had horrific luck with pants, having exhausted ann Taylor, Talbots, loft, br, you name it. Maybe these will work. Not exactly a closet remix violation since they fill a gaping wardrobe hole!
