I have been looking for a long white or off white blazer for a while. Emmanuel Alt is one of my style icons & I love the way she wears one with black jeans & t-shirt. I thought of getting a white leather jacket like my sand one but thought a longer white blazer might be good instead for variety.
I have tried many on & most had something wrong with them. I found one that might work at Loft but they didn't have my size. I think the XS available online would work though. I also got to try on a small in a Zara one that previously didn't work for me when I tried on a M. I wasn't convinced enough & decided to keep looking in case I saw the perfect one.
Well, I saw the perfect one from Theory for $395, & even though it is twice as much as the leather jacket & more than I wanted to spend I couldn't settle for anything after trying on something of this quality. You often do get what you pay for. I could find a Theory or other higher end one on sale if I keep looking at TJ Maxx & the Rack but what if I don't find one? I bought this to think about it. I sized down to a 2 as the 4 looked too big. It buttons with a sweater underneath but it is snug. I think it feels OK though.
I know you can't tell me what to do budget wise but I'm just sharing with my YLF friends. I'm wondering if the style will last a few years. Then the cost per wear will be worth it.
I added a buttoned pic for Rachylou & another unbuttoned pic for Mo with my arm not lifting the jacket away from my hip so much. It pulls at bust buttoned but it is very roomy at waist, shoulder, across the back & the hip. I have a narrow low hip as an 8 shape and am a 32 D bra. I could wear an even smaller size than this I think so I don't want to size up to make it look better buttoned.
