K/R & the boot goes on...

Just checking in to let you know that my foot is almost at neutral (one lift to go.) I see the Dr. on Wednesday and I'm hoping to get to start PT. I love the mobility of the boot but I am totally sick of dragging this thing around! Here are some recent outfits (nothing exciting) and I'd love to get your opinion on a high/low maxi dress (i know, i know.) Honesty appreciated. I really like it but am not sure it's doing me any favors or looks overly dramatic. Thanks in advance!

Boot fashion has never looked so good Kelly! So glad to hear the healing process is coming along. I'm in love with your dress collection BTW and your summer sandals as well (at least the one we can see - lol!).

As for the hi-low maxi, I will admit that I LOVE IT on you! It is a lot of pattern on wee you, but I don't find it overwhelming and the colors are just gorgeous. I find the open view of your ankles keeps the dress from being too much.

Firstly, I'm glad things are progressing well with your foot. Now, on to the clothes. Lots of great outfits, My faves are mostly your dresses I think. I really like you in the denim vest combos. I do rather like the top with the animal print on though and the dippy hem top and long shorts. The maxi dress is lovely and I vote keep.

Okay, you have single-handedly CONVERTED me to the high-lo casual maxi look. This is beyond brilliant on you, and now I want one!

You look stunning in your boot style. I smiled wide when I saw the tiger T with the boot -- what a great mix. These are all terrific outfits, but my faves (other than the maxi) are: 2, 5, 8.

As for the maxi, I normally dislike high-low hems, but I make an exception for split fronts like the one you are wearing (either it is split or it looks that way because it lies like a V instead of a U at the front). I very much like that style and I think the maxi looks great on you.

I love the red and white striped dress as well as the cobalt dress in the second picture. And the maxi gets my approval, but I like maxis (ducks).

Questions: brand/details on the tennis/running shoes shown heavily in collage 1? Brand/detail on the distressed, cuffed, below the knee shorts shown in picture 2? Thanks!

Oh yes, and you look so adorably fierce with your boot and the feline tank top! It just says, "don't mess with me" in the most fun way!!!

I'm spanning but I like everything except kitty and hi-lo maxi. Full disclosure I hate anything asymmetrical (including hi-lo) but I think this one is the pattern is all off center too. It's a bit boxy for you (but doesn't look bad and doesn't look like a nightdress which can happen with maxidresses) Your boot style is stellar of course.

The dress fits beautifully on your shoulders and looks like it was made for you. I don't mind the print at all. #2 and 8 are my favourites from the rest.

@Shannon: I’m so glad that you like my dresses. Honestly, I was thinking they looked kind of sad and dated. I’ve been on a dress quest thinking that I would ditch some of these. The brown dotted one has been in and out of the donate pile for a couple of years--I keep telling myself it’s going to be a swim suit cover up and then I find myself wearing it again. So glad the maxi gets a thumbs up too.

@Angie: Lol--thank you. I don’t think I’ve ever killed anything so I’m thrilled! Really happy the maxi meets with your approval too.

@Diane: Thank you. My foot appears to be healing--I just hope it’s healing well.

@Suz: Lol--thank you! I’m flattered to think that you want a high/low maxi now too. The tiger tee was a mother’s day gift (to myself)--not my usual style but I love the graphic print.

@Echo: You have a good eye. This is a split front--I like the way it moves when I walk and the cut seems flattering even though I’m vertically challenged. Thanks for chiming in!

@Alicat: Lol--thanks! Davey says hi. He’s taken to sitting on my head at night when I relax on the couch. Can you ask George what that means?

@Denise: Thank you. The striped dress is Merona from Target--it’s a nice, thick knit. Perfect for casual days. The wedge sneaks in 1 are by Tsubo. They are an older style--not sure if they are still available. I liked the neutral color and the orange stripes. I wanted wedge sneaks but couldn’t picture myself in the Ash versions. These seemed more my style. The denim clams are Target Mossimo--several summers old. They have a similar version every year--although not as severely distressed.

@Jj: Thank you for your honesty! I know the tank isn’t my usual style--I’m not a graphic print kind of person but I LOVED the kitty and couldn’t live without it. It reminds me of Davey. IKWYM about the print placement on the maxi too--I kind of scratched my head when I looked at the pics but decided that the asymmetry is okay--I tend to be kind of neurotic about things like that but I’m going to go with the flow for a change!
