Yea = Keep

Nay = Ditch (due to Fit/Flattery of Wrap, Weirdness of print, and/or need for animal print intervention)

Anyone care to vote, with or without context? My wallet and I would appreciate it!

ps Sorry about lighting, esp as flash + floor reflection = scary orange skin

A printed silk jersey dress is a long-time want. I'd like to say "need" but I have no shortage of (synthetic) dresses. Unfortunately for me, most silk jersey ends up in wraps, which Iove on others but find problematic on me.

I've tried on a few DVF prints recently and they have been B-A-D on. This one seems more flattering, but is my bar too low after some really not-good attempts?

Though heavily discounted, the dress was still a chunk of change and would be one of my limited number of fall/winter buys (most of which are already bought). There are currently no options for a different size.

My Eternal Questionables with standard wrap dresses:

  • Fit
  • Flattery

Extra:

  • Print's suitability for colder-weather black additions (boots, jackets etc) -- is there too much white to make this work?

My Pros:

  • Marked down significantly + fully returnable
  • Meets desire for a black or charcoal + light neutral + color-color print
  • Drape/quality of material
  • Animal print (per #4, it would have company in my closet)
  • Length
  • Lots of hem overlap (#2)

My Neutrals:

  • Random nature of print
  • The way print adds curves to my hip and derriere regions
