K/R Ponte knit dress

So, I bought this in the exqct same size as the violet one. This one fits, the violet one was too big. So much for consistency!

Not a wrap dress! A good, solid ponte knit fabric though. Love your thoughts on fit and flattery. It was about 1/4 of what I normally pay for a dress, so while it might be a good deal dollar wise, it still has to look great.

From what I can tell this looks great and I say keep. The way your photos are taken, the length is sometimes a bit hard to see. I love that bright belt with it, very nice accent.

I really like this shape on you. You didn't post a side view; how do the armholes fit? The fit looks good from the front, and the belt adds a nice punch of color.

It looks good to me! Isn't that funny (well, not really) how much variation you can get with the same exact item and size? The neckline is good the and armholes look small enough, there's plenty of ease through the hips and it's not pulling anywhere. Is there a waist seam on this one or is it fit and flare?

Hmm, doesn't fit as fantastic on the waistline as your other ones, I guess my brain is still on the mint dress! How does this fit compared to that? Other than that, you styled it well with the pink belt *hugs*

I agree that the mint one looks better. This one is more like a skater dress and has a bit of twirl. The mint one reminds of a southern dress, for some reason. a nice solid cotton with length and a bit of flare. It comes in more colors and I have been resisting them as I really don't need the same dress in more colors.

I liked this in navy versus black and thought the style of it would do better with jackets and such.

It looks really good on you. I like the skinny, bright belt with it. If it feels comfortable, I vote keep! Another lovely dress modeled by the lovely Thistle.

I had black flared ponte knit dress and wore it to death. It went to pennies in terms od CPW. This kind of dress screams 'versatility' to me and *anything* you can think of can be done with such dress.

Button-downs, turtlenecks, teeshirts... scarves, necklaces, belts or no belts, brooches... jackets over... patterned hose... boots or shoes with all sorts of heels. I haven't worn dresses this winter much and have reinstalled my laptop so all photos are still on the external drive and I can't access them for some ideas, but those few things pop to mind immediately.

I like this one and unless there is something about the fit that I can't see but is bothering you (placement of the zipper, itchy size tag?) or if Angie says 'no', then return it. Otherwise keep it, you'll wear it non-stop.

You look terrific in the dress, Thistle! I tried on every pair o white jeans in my size (4 pairs) today. They all fit differently. I think they cut too many layers of fabric at once, and the stitching is often inconsistent.

A quality ponte is a real 4-season fabric. This could be worn with all kinds of jacket, and can likely be layered under if the necklines are complimentary. A great travel dress, too!
