R is for resell, but I got both items for a great price so I would be able to make my money back.

#1/2 Is a new with tag oversized Reiss leather jacket. This is a complete style fail, but if you think I should keep and have styling suggestions please share!

#3 Pink (or is it orchid!) Furla shopper. I just couldn't believe I had my hands on a pink bag so of course I took it home. Do you think it works for me? I am wearing a hodgepodge of things I am road testing so style suggestions are welcome here too.

#4 Since Angie is distracted with Fashion Week, I will sneak in a WIW to a show of my friend's paintings. I know the pants are cropped but I like them.

Shevia I am trying to imagine how the jacket might work over a skirt? My immediate response to the jacket is that I don't mind the boxy ness but the collar looks dated. It doesn't look modern enough for how I view your style.

Love the shopper, such a beautiful colour and I adore your outfit in #4. I am going to go out on a limb and say that's how crop pants should be worn:)

Good point Deborah. It might be the way I am wearing it. The jacket is from last year so it shouldn't be dated - but that doesn't mean it isn't! I am picturing it over a column of white or something light but am not sure I can pull it off.

The pink Furla bag is gorgeous. What a lucky find. I very much like the size, style and shape and think it could be a versatile addition to your wardrobe. I am less convinced about the leather jacket. Although I love the color and cropped style, the jacket seems a tad large in the shoulder/underarm area (especially when worn closed). Your crops (in #4) are adorable. I love your sassy red booties.

Shevia it could be me! The style of collar takes me back to the 90's (I think). I generally prefer a lapel on a jacket. Having said that there is something about the jacket that is quite "cool" but I'm struggling to imagine the right styling. Others will have so e good ideas I am sure.

The jacket open doesn't look bad -- closed, it is drowning you a bit.

Love the cool pink of the Furla bag! Can you work that one into Angie's olive-and-pink combo?

I like the colour of the jacket on you, but I think it needs to be styled differently. I like the idea of it with white!

The shopper is lovely, and I think you should keep it. It is a really great pink.

The cropped pants look good too.

Love your cropped pants outfit! Those are fantastic pants. I would love a pair like those -- yes, even cropped, if I could wear with great booties like the ones you are wearing! Love the coat here, too.

I love the colour of the leather jacket for you and even the style -- but I do feel it would need different styling to work. And I'm not sure how soft it is? Part of what seems like bulk under the arms could be due to stiffness? Is it a raglan sleeve? How about playing around with a few options?

Of course you must keep and use that gorgeous bag!

The jacket is such a wonderful color on you! Could definitely see it with white. Like the pink bag too. And you look better in cropped plaid pants than anyone has a right to!

Thanks everyone! It was really unfair to this jacket to show it this way. I will try to style it better and give it another shot.

April I saw that jacket in person and it is a great shade of blue - I just really don't need a jacket, but came upon this one and was interested and challenged by its shape. And I knew that I would probably be able to sell it for more than I paid for it so I had nothing to lose. Suz, it is not stiff at all. The leather is soft I am just not doing it justice with this outfit and pose.

Glad the pink bag and the cropped pants passed muster. I gave the pink bag a trial run today and found carrying a bag on my forearm is easier than I thought (that was my biggest concern with this one). Thanks for all your lovely comments!

The jacket, I'm unsure about. It's interesting but the fit seems awkward on you. It's almost as though it's not oversized enough to seem intentional -- it looks more ill-fitting than oversized, if you know what I mean. Maybe it's the length too.

On the jacket, I don't care for the fit of the sleeves. They look too wide and I think the whole jacket just looks too big for you.

The bag in #3 looks great, even unstyled or whatever. I like that look.

#1 and #2 - I like the color on you a lot. The jacket makes you look big which you're not. So I don't know. Could you get a different jacket in that color?

The bag and your outfit in #3 are K-worthy.

Not as sold on the jacket - poison eye for lilac isn't helping. The fit looks like it wants to be avant-garde, so maybe restyle and show us how you'd wear it? Some items can't be simply thrown on with anything for K/R as easily as others. I say that from experience!

I'm not reaylly in leather trends, so I would let those points for other(but feel like the jacket is a bit stiff). I just chimmed in to say nr 4 is one of your most gorgeous looks ever! Those red shoes, and all...OMG!:-)

Love the color of the jacket and I really like the idea of an oversized cropped jacket. I'm just not sure that this is THE ONE. The shoulder fit seems a bit off to me. How does it fit across the back?

Shevia, I think you look fab in pastels. Love the bag (like everyone else) and think it's a great, unexpected item. And perfect for spring.

I love the color of the jacket. Would it be worth altering? It seems just a little too boxy to be fashionable, but it might be able to be tweaked. Angie gave you some good suggestions to try in the meantime.

Love your art show outfit. You know I'm a fan of your style.

Ah ha, Shevia, you thought you might avoid "crop inspection" but as it turns out you have been sprung and passed with flying colours anyway.
I love the colour of the jacket and that it is leather. It does not fit you well as portrayed here where it looks too tight across the abdomen while roomy everywhere else. I'd like to see a more deliberate revere on the collar when it is open.
I'd like to see you have another go with the jacket and love the idea of pairing it with white.
Bag and cropped pants look fab.
I also really like your friend's work.

I'm not loving the jacket. To me it looks better zipped, but something looks off. The sleeves? Maybe they're too baggy or something? They look really wide at the cuffs, are they rolled up? If you got it for a great price, you could always get it altered.

I love Furla and that is my favorite shade of pink.... so I was hoping everyone was going to tell you to give it away, but no luck.

I also want to see the jacket styled. If it needs anything, maybe tapering of the sleeves. I think it has major potential, even if you have to spend some $ to have it tailored just so. But maybe not even that, depending on how you style it.

#4 - I was going to scream KEEP! but then I read your post and realized that wasn't up for debate. LOVE that jacket.

Angie thank you for chiming in! I think Una is right and this jacket has to be showed in its best light or not at all. It has potential for someone certainly but it remains to be seen if that someone is me. And I am delighted you approve of my cropped pants look!

Deborah, definitely regarding learning. This is an example of me pushing my boundaries a bit to see what really works or not.

IK I was flabbergasted by your comment - in a good way. I had not seen you as a pink bag lover For me, the asymmetric lines and structure without hardware are the beauty of this bag. The pink color is icing on the cake.

My last post is actually my living room on my way out to a gallery. But the picture you can see is DH's friend and I will let them know you liked it!

I think the lilac jacket could be fantastic, but it's all in the styling.
I think it needs something more flowing or fluid under it.

The outfit in 4 is awesome. I love the pink shopper. I think the lilac jacket looks best zipped. I could go either way on that one.
