K/R: Kut from the Kloth Catherine Slim BF's in white (ETA decision made @ bottom)

I ordered two sizes of the Kut from the Kloth Catherine Slim BF's in white - one in my (new) regular size and one a size up. The fabric is fabulous as Angie mentioned and the rise perfect. Love the fit. The leg length is ridiculously long on me so please keep in mind that I have rolled both pairs 4 times to at least show the length. If I were keeping, I would need to have Wonder Woman shorten them so the cuff wouldn't be so thick.

They are fairly stretchy and I have the feeling they could get fairly baggy throughout the day. Something to keep in mind. Have other owners noticed this?

So I will not give my opinion yet as I would like to solicit completely honest feedback. Keep or Return? Which pair? or send both back?

#1 - #7 - smaller size
#8 - 12 - larger size

Smaller! Hard to be 100% sure with the chunk of a cuff, but I say Keep! Where did you order from?

I like the smaller size. They have a good amount of slouch as is, and I would especially go for the smaller ones if you think they will stretch even a bit. You look great, pretty lady!

I vote for the smaller, too. Especially if they might stretch out more. The larger size looks to have too much volume in the crotch.

I like the smaller size too. If I didn't have 12 pair of varying white denim bottoms I'd be ordering one too.

I think the smaller ones look great!
They make stretch a little, and you may continue to shrink (congrats!), so the larger ones would end up way too big.

I prefer a larger size. They do not stretch that much when they are not tight and with white you would need to wash them after 1-2 wears anyway.

The jeans look great on you! I'd go smaller. I LOVE Kut jeans, but they STRETCH big time. I learned the hard way on my first pair. Bought my "regular" size and then found out they stretch a good bit after wearing them once or twice. Washing and drying couldn't help enough. Ended up thrifting as a result.

Smaller. They look like they have plenty of room in the leg and thigh to give you a looser boyfriend style, but also are fitted enough in the waist to give you an "anchor" to your body, which I find more flattering on our not-extremely -defined-waist-and-hips bodies.

I like the bigger size in the boyfriend silhouette. Unless they are going to stretch a lot, then I would say the smaller size.

I like the smaller size as well. It seems like it might be more practical if they stretch and if you are still planning on losing more weight.

I'm not a fan in any of the two sizes shown, because I think you have enough of 'em baggy britches. I would love to see you in a tailored, regular white skinny jean a la Angie. I think a tailored white jean would be an awesome addition for your oversized tops. If I have not been convincing enough there, I would say go just a bit oversized, like the white jeans Rae bought recently. I know I will be alone in this but I'll give you my fifty cents for whatever is worth.
I think you need to go another size down.

Ok, Slim, can I tell you how much I love those shoes on you? Oh, I think I already did on your last thread. Back to the white jeans, I like the smaller size. A lot!

Shannon, just from looking at the pictures, I actually think they are both too big I know these are BF jeans and I think I understand how they are meant to fit but both pairs IMHO have too much excess fabric at the thigh. You are clearly loosing weight and I think very soon they would look 'seriously' too big. Just my thoughts. I do like the jeans, very much in fact and I would be interested to see how the next size down fits.

I just tried these on today and will be watching this thread about sizing and possible stretching. I like the larger size best on you. It looks more relaxed and boyfriendly.

I'm with Deborah - as soon as I saw the 'smaller' size pics (1-7 right?) I thought, "These are already too big..."

Mind you - I'm not the very best at adapting to slouchier silhouettes, so take my comment with a giant grain of salt. Long story short - if you keep either of these, definitely keep the smaller pair. In fact, the smaller pair almost look too big, but let's see what Angie has to say.

If it were me, and I'm not the expert, I'd almost advise going down another size from those shown in #1-7 in order to ensure a full summer's wear out of them. I can really see and notice your weight loss (woo hoo! Go YOU!), and in this one instance (being BF jeans), I think it might be wise to size down at least one more size from those in 1-7. Is this too much of a hassle? If you were to size down at least one more size, then I think these white Catherine BF jeans will "last" through the season.

Meanwhile, I *love* the white BF jeans with that teal top - just gorgeous on you!

Here goes my two cents, take it with a grain of salt please - I think both are two big. Even the smaller size appears to have a lot of fabric bagginess at the thighs. I think I would like these either in a smaller size - a skinnier BF jean - or a slimmer, non-BF cut.

Thank you all so much for taking the time to look and comment.

First of all, I was unable to find these available anywhere on Canadian sites and did end up ordering from Nordstrom. I decided not to order internationally if at all possible but will make exceptions for something I really want to try even though I know there are risks..

Secondly, despite loving the fabrication and aesthetics of these jeans, I do not like the fit of them on me. I find the thighs too wide on me and if I size down again, the waist could be a bit snug. I don't feel fab in these - I feel sloppy and chubby.

Zapotee has also hit upon something that really struck me when I was trying these on. I have a few slouchy pants now - both jeans and dress pants, and I think I would prefer a pair of white tailored jeans. My Jessica Simpson white jeans are now bordering on getting too big and I can roll them to wear like a BF jean when going for that vibe. I'm actually thinking of trying the Jessica Simpson slim white jeans I have in a smaller size and see how I like them.

Now that my exercise and diet plan are starting to show some results, I'm not sure I want to hide those in yet another pair of baggy britches.

Would be interested in your thoughts...

I vote the smaller size! They look amazing, Shannon! And will look killer as soon as Wonder Woman has done her thing with the cuffs. I think that might be what Debs is reacting to.

I was surprised to hear that you feel "sloppy and chubby" in these. Is that how you feel in your other slouchy pants? If so, why order another boyfriend jean? I wonder if the fit is retaining some association with an unhappy weight that is coloring your feelings? Because I agree with Angie that they look fab!

That said, there is nothing that says you can't change gears and look for a skinny white jean. Sometimes the fitting room helps us decide what we don't want.

Great question Rae - no, my other slouchy trousers don't make me feel sloppy. Maybe because it seems like such a large expanse of white, you know? I also had a really stressful day at work today and sometimes find my judgement can be off when I'm feeling that way.

I think I'll play with them a bit tomorrow (the smaller size) and see what I think then. I do agree that the bulky leg cuff is making it less than ideal to judge the fit correctly. Unfortunately not much I can do about that without having them shortened.
