As Sveta would say, "a funny thing happened when I went to return..." my white Danier leather jackets. I got my refund and started to head to the door to leave when I spied the rack that had the asymmetrical pastel coloured jackets - pale green, blue and sand. They are the Blink line of Danier - their slightly edgier line. My black jacket (and Suz's taupe one) is Blink. So I thought "what the heck, give it a try".

I tried on the green first and loved the fit but the colour washed me out. I didn't try the sand - any shade of beige is horrendous next to my face. So I grabbed the blue and LOVE the colour. The fit is excellent in the shoulders and it is shorter than other Danier jackets. I have the suspicion that the Blink line tends to be closer to a petite fit. The waist is pretty much in the right spot and it nips in the same way my black blazer does. I also like the deep v-neck - good to help make me look longer.

Now I tried on the Large, my usual size and it positively swamped me. I secretly said "yay" to that, if you know what I mean! So this is the Medium. I can just barely zip it up, but that was the same with my black one, which I can now do up. In the second last pic, I have done up the snap at the neckline just to give you an idea - I realize it is too tight this way and I will only wear it open at this time. However (not to toot my own horn) my LE health plan is starting to show some results and I've gone down a size in some items (I bought a Cleo Petite dress this past week for warmer weather that is a full size smaller than I've been wearing). I have no doubt that staying on course will result in this jacket fitting perfectly.

I do think it borders on too long with a dress but still works due to its shape and the shorter back.

So...what are your thoughts? Colour on me? Fit and style on me? Is this THE ONE?

P.S. Bonus pic of the white clutch with cognac handle that also seemed to find its way into my bag...
