K/R: Embroderied Jeans and a blouse

This is urgent because I need to make a decision ASAP. These pieces are from Target in case the trend is short lived. I am leaning toward keeping as I have nothing like embroderied jeans but wonder if the look is too young. What about that first top? I have other tops I can wear with these jeans, especially from the Loft like the second top. What do you think? Too Boho?

ETA: in finds, several tops that may go with these jeans. What do you think? The first find is the jeans. I could not find the Target blouse online. The second find is the Loft top in photos 4 and 5. The rest of the finds are assorted tops from my wardrobe that may work.

I am one hundred and ten percent in on the jeans. I like the second top MUCH more than the first top. I do think the first is too boho.

Ah that s better ,the jeans are really nice ,I don’t think there’s an age limit on jeans and the embroidery is pretty.I prefer the long sleeved top, it’s pretty and romantic,however I think both tops are too much with the jeans there’s too much going on so I would wear them with something else.

I clicked Yay before reading anyone else's comments Joy. The jeans are so cute and not too young at all, they make you look like a fun person to me. Of course my preferences do lean that way and for me I'm not sure that "too boho" even exists. I do agree with others that the very busy tops mean there is a lot going on. I would still wear them that way but some days wear a plainer top as well, to let the jeans shine. Say in one of the flower colours x

I love the jeans, the look great on you. I prefer the second top, but would personally prefer a solid top, or a printed one with some solid spaces where the eye can rest. But I am definitely not at all maximal, so take that with a grain of salt.

To me jeans are perfect on you and you wear them in that way that ages are not important, forget ages and enjoy that beautiful pants I would wear them with pleasure.

Thank you all for helping me with this decision. The jeans look like they are keepers. I like the higher waist (midrise) and that they add variety to my jeans capsule. The decision on the top is still pending. This top was not made to go with these jeans and is not even the same maker, but something about it attracts me. It would work with plain jeans, shades of blue denim, white/cream, burgundy, grey and blush.

I have plain tops in red, white, citron, and navy that should work with these jeans. I also tried a dark blue denim jacket on over the blouse and it helped tame the business. I think these jeans will be ok for wear most of the summer as it gets cool at night and is not humid. Also the legs can be rolled to above the ankle. The first top would be too warm in summer most of the time. It is sheer enough for me to want a cami under it. It is also polyester. Hmmmm.

I find how polyester feels on really varies, do you? Sometimes it feels hot and sticky but other times feels cool like silk. I assume that some brands must have better quality polyester than others??? But is that even possible???
So now I'm not totally avoiding polyester but going on the "handle" of the fabric rather than what it is. For me that means buying in store when I can touch it first.

Jenni, you are right. I also usually avoid polyester but this top feels ok for a day like today with highs in the 60's F and sunshine and no wind, low humidity. This top feels more like rayon.

Gorgeous jeans. I like them a lot paired with the second top; the colours seem just right for each other. First top seems a bit overwhelming, and with the embroidered bottoms it crosses my personal threshold for maximal. I prefer the idea of the jeans with your existing tops in Finds.

Robin, your post reminded me that I wanted to say to those interested that I sized up a size in these. They are also available in white with olive embroidery. they would be really cute with an olive top. I am considering those but didn't think duplicating would be wise. The fabric in the ones I have is cotton with 7% polyester. They feel great on. There are lots of peasant blouses. The jeans look much more expensive than they are.

The jeans look great! I like both tops. They are different looks, and I think it may depend on your mood. I have a slight preference for the first, but the second is also very nice. I think the having the value of both items the embroidery exactly the same could make it harder to create a focal point. With the lighter top, your face becomes a focus.

ETA: I know your face is covered in the pics, I’m talking about where my eyes are drawn.

“Too young” is really only about things that are too tight and possibly too short.

Thank you, Jj, Staysfit and Smittie and all who addressed my question of the look being too young. I just got back from the grocery store and had a preteen girl following me around admiring the jeans. Finally her mother came over and asked where I'd got them. She was pleased when I said "Target". Smittie, I like wearing Boho-lite. Boho is my shadow style, I think.
Jj, how would you style these jeans for festivals? Would a dark denim jacket look ok, if needed? Would it be better to look for a colored denim jacket, like red? Today I am wearing gold shoes, bag, belt and earrings. It feels pretty festive.

You look great in these pieces, boho lite is for all ages. I do agree that the very revealing Woodstock hippy look is best for those under 30. I see boho working for all of us because it has an arty and relaxed sensibility that suits all age groups and is perfect to wear to festivals. I like the jeans very much, especially how you can wear them with your gold accessories. I love that the pre-teen was coveting your jeans.
