K/R Cropped Skinny Jeans ETA: Thrifting Karma

I am sorry not to be around at all and then post a photo but I hope you lovely ladies will forgive me. I really like these jeans... but my legs are already short so I want to make sure my fashion radar is tuned up since i know the capri is a hard length to get right.

Brand is Lands End, $4.50 at goodwill today. May Madness!

Not styled, just with what I happened to be wearing. Love to hear if they work with flat sandals or if they are too leg shortening (heels arent really and option for me with my leg/back issues)...

ETA: 2 more photos. one of of cuffs rolled twice, and one cuffs rolled not all at (which i dont really care for the look of...). I cant roll more than twice with how small the ankle is cut.

ETA 3: styled with pink shorter T with a partial tuck. I have to decide today (tomorrow last day for returns) to cut the tags or not!

ETA 4: Thrifting Karma! So I decided to return these jeans b/c I decided they just weren't different enough from my full length skinny's cuffed 3 times. And you know what was waiting for me.... that jean jacket I've been looking for for two months!

*ssshhhssh* I think they look great, but as for capri PPL, I may be in the minority here.

I have 2 pairs that length -1 is a Levi boyfriend style & 1 pair of too-short skinnies that I roll up. I wear them with cute flats in addition to a 2-inch wedge sandal.

I'm with Marie - I know that length doesn't get a lot of love here but I think it's cute on you. I am debating hemming a similar pair to just below knee length. Looks like a good fit through the leg. Can the cuff roll up higher so people can see them shorter ?

I really like them! I think the one roll is really cute casual and flattering. You can really see your cute shoes.

I think they fit you nicely and I like the single roll better. I think the wash and the fit do not shorten your legs. Great bargain too. You might even try a larger single roll - I've seen that look cute. Your DD is adorable sneeking into your shoot.

Thanks ladies, I am happy the initial impression is good. I sometime feel like when i havent had a chane to post and read as much I make questionable choices!

I like them too. What about a shorter shirt. I know they aren't styled yet. And what about a single, deeper roll? (No promises here--that may be a complete disaster. Just thinking of different options.) I think they look nice. Bottom line, I think you scored a total deal!

Wellll FWIW, I do find this length fairly leg shortening unfortunately, especially as in photo #3. They seem to fit well otherwise.

Hi Sarah! You have slender legs, which is helpful here. I agree that a slightly shorter top or a semi-tuck would be best here. This may sound silly, but I feel this proportions is making your torso seem long more than making your legs seem short. Sometimes I think this happens due to photo angle.

The fit is fabulous and I love your flair in casual wear!

I am thinking tags will probably come off and I will work to style with shorter shirt/tuck or partial tuck options. Really appreciate everyone's honest opinions!

Oh, just saw this Sarah. I have the long torso thing going on like you. I think you could wear them unrolled if you show your waistband with a tuck or semi tuck. Also cutting them off and hemming just below the knee would be really nice, I'll bet. Love the taper and the fit in the seat. Score!

The fit looks good but I am with Aida: I think they will look 100% more flattering if shortened to mid-calf <ducking out of sight>

hmmm... Sveta and Aida, I think you both have a great eye so I am torn. I have another pair I was planning to hem to just at/ below the knee and now I am wondering if that will be too redundant with these if I shorten them at all. I am going to have to sleep on it I think...

I quite like the shorter length if you're going to alter; if not, I like the first single cuff --- I think the cuff makes the paler wrong side blend with your skin almost (tonal value), so I'm really *seeing* the darker pants ending above the cuff. If you cut at that length and hem, it should look very flattering (that's what rolled twice already looks like).

Well I'm no good with cropped pants, so I'll leave that to others. I just wanted to chime in and say that the fit is FAB. Plus, your dd is adorable!

I am no good with cropped pants, either. I have long torso short legs, but want so badly to wear them, and always THINK they look okay on me. But hear otherwise on the forum. My problem is that to my eye, I look 100% worse in pants cropped to just below the knee. HORRID proportion for me (not in skirts, but in pants). At least this is how I feel. So that leaves me with shorts, or long pants. And nothing in between! Argh! I am no help to you.

But you and your daughter are very cute.

I would try with a slightly shorter top and see how the proportions look.

Thanks a million ladies! I am still on the fence so thought I would try a bit of styling today. I like the fit a lot but they are NOT leg lengthening for sure. If they are leg neutral (as opposed to shortening) I think that is good enough for me. I can always hem shorter (clam length) later too right....

Thanks everyone for taking the time to view and post here. In the end, ! decided to return these jeans. They just weren't different enough from my full length skinny's cuffed 3 times and I noticed some weird inner thigh seam rippling when sitting down. So guess what was waiting for me at goodwill today? The perfect fitting cropped jacket I've been looking for for two months, one in light wash (a bit longer) and one in dark (super cropped)!
