K/R camo! - YouLookFab Forum

I bought this Gap Camo shirtdress when it was on sale for ~$38. I wanted a fun print to wear to work and I liked this colorway. I thought it was sort of funky being camo without being too militant. I kind of like it but is it too big in the shoulders? This is a medium tall, I'm pretty sure I couldn't fit a small without pulling at the hips. I got a tall for the presumed extra length, but the sleeves are too long, hence the rolling and scrunching, but I am ok with that. I may need a new belt.

#4-5 are BR Heritage Camo Skinny Ankle Zip. I got them when they had a 40% off one item. I wanted a pair of camo pants since I saw them in Angie's ensemble but I don't know if it's these pair or if they just don't fit with my style. These are marked as skinnies but seemed really bulky in the calf area (and it's not cause I have skinny calfs). I don't know what to do with the length and the zipper. Maybe I shouldn't have sized up and gone for a tighter fit? As they are, they feel too "military issue" for me. Should I try a size down or give up on these pair or give up on camo pants in general?

The booties are OTBT Rapid city boot in saddle. I'm pretty sure I'm keeping them as they are high, comfy, and have a cushy fur lining!

I bought that dress too but returned it. I tried the S in the store and it was huge on me, so I bought the XS without trying. Well, that was way too tight in the arms for me. Otherwise, I would have kept it. So if it fits well, keep!

I like the pants and the boots! Just ordered a pair of OTBTs myself - good to hear they are comfy.

not sure about the dress, i agree without the belt is very sacky, but, imo, it's not much better with the belt.
i think the pants look great, and as of been looking for camo, i'm going to check them out.

I really like the blue color for the camo. I can't tell much about the shoulders. If they feel wrong they'll probably always bug you. Have you tried not buttoning the dress at the top? A different feel at the neckline might be interesting. You seem to have a longish neck. My long neck does not like crew neck height necklines of any kind. Just throws me off completely.

I love the look of the pants on you. Also the boots. But if the pant leg feels odd and you can't get over it by trying different shoes maybe or just wearing them around for an hour or two, there's probably something off we can't see. But the camo style looks great on you. If you like the camo look, find a different pair if these aren't great for you.

I like the dress without the belt - it looks relaxed & modern imo. The pants look great too. I would add that if anything isn't comfortable or doesn't feel or fit right then I would return it

Jules - I agree, I wider belt would be better, but I don't currently have one that fits my waist. I could get one of course, but not sure if this dress is worth it.

Pawprints - actually the dress isn't buttoned at the top! It just doesn't gap cause it's a little big in the shoulders/bust area, and it's being held together with the belt.

Now leaning towards return even though I really like the color and the print.

I thought the dress was fabulous online but I think you're right it is rather shapeless even with the belt. Note to self....

The camo skinnies are fabulous though especially with the booties.

That dress doesn't "get you". There are sacky dresses and sacky dresses, so I'd keep looking for a better one. I can see how fun is the color, though.

I love the camo pants. They do look warrior-like but they look great, at the same item--very cool. I can understand if that's not the look you want--maybe want camo combined with a more refined pant? or a slouchy pant?, but it's a great outfit on you.

peekaboo -- i agree with unfrumped. i don't think you have a sacky body, i think that dress doesn't get you.
