K/R - Wrap Dress Showdown!

So, the second wrap dress arrived today.

Pic #1 is the Micahel Kors dress that arrived today. It is a faux wrap versus a true wrap. However, it still has a slit up the front that will require a slip. The v-neck is not as deep, but it will still require a cam.

I am trying to decide if I should keep one, both or neither. Would love your feedback!

Like others have already said, they both look fantastic on you Thistle. If you can do both, I would keep them both. If only one, I have a slight preference for the black and white one. This style is gorgeous on you BTW!

Good gravy you look fab in a wrap dress! I have a slight preference for the bigger print black and white dress, but not sure why.

I like both a lot! I think Pic 1 looks more wintry and Pic 2 looks like an easy transition into spring and summer. If you could keep both, I would definitely consider it, because a great wrap dress is a fantastically easy go-to fast fall-back outfit!

PS, if really forced to choose, I'd choose Pic 2 because accessories could make it feel appropriate for any season.

They are pretty similar ... when I've bought two items this close, I've always ended up liking one better and regretting the second. But YMMV.

Both look great on you Thistle. I agree that they are very similar - and chances are that you will gravitate to one over the other. I have a wee preference for #2, I like the b/w graphic and it seems to tie better in the front.

I slightly prefer #2 but I wonder if it's because you have your arm slightly lifted so I can really see the waist definition? It's gorgeous on you, wow!
I agree that #2 is probably better for year-round wear, plus I like it better with the black boots. In summer I always wear yoga shorts under wrap dresses in case of wind or my knot coming undone (this happened to me once!).

You look great! I love these on you. Something seems off about the first one, though. Not sure if it's just the styling or if it's the color, but, especially next to the black & white one, it's not a 10 for me. The B&W is off the charts though, yay! (a fellow wrap lover)

How are they when standing, sitting, and walking? Which ever one passes these tests, keep that one, and if both pass, keep both!

These both look great; I would keep the one that is the most "fuss-free". BTW, slips have come a long way. Check out Commando. You might be able to wear one slip instead of a cami and a half slip. You look SO amazing in wrap dresses. Not everyone can wear them, you know.

Both of them look fab on you, but #2 is breathtaking. I would keep both if you are able and check if the second one comes in any other prints. Such great pieces for your wardrobe!

Both look fab, but I'm going against the floe, I prefer #1. If it was me I wouldn't keep both, I would spend the money on another wrap dress that was quite different. But thats me, what about you, do you feel they are too alike?

I prefer the second one. I showed these to my bf and he preferred the second one as well. I don't mind the first one but to him it looked like a bathrobe... "like you're going to bed, with boots on."

I thought this was funny. How quickly the male mind goes to the bedroom.

It's true not everyone can wear wrap dresses! Pre ylf, I had a bit of an epiphany when my very tall & slim rectangle friend complimented curvier me in a wrap dress and said "I can't wear them, of course". Because she is one of my most stylish friends I had always admired her look and tried to copy things that didn't work for me, like long necklaces (they sit funny on my chest). Eventually I worked out she wasn't the best inspiration for me because of our different body types, but I saw it as a loss for me ("I can't wear this, I can't wear that..."). Her telling me off-handedly that she couldn't wear a look that worked for me really changed my POV on dressing my body.
Yup thistle, you rock a wrap dress! Enjoy it

Thanks! Being a pear and wanting to be a slim rectangle mos tof my life has definately skewed my view. I am really trying to embrace the body I have and dress it well. Wraps seem to do that for me!

I had never really considered wrap anything until YLF. The style never looked all that good on the models, so I stayed away from it. They need curvier models to give us another perspective
