My current sneaker inventory (total = 2 pairs) is getting old and worn, so refreshing my collection is a top priority this Spring.

I'm new to the slip-on sneaker trend, mostly because last year I couldn't find a pair that wouldn't slip-off! My heels are very narrow. I kept trying on fashion brands, when my best fit comes from Vans it turns out.

I thought I was getting a smaller wedge -- last year's version had a 1.5" wedge which would have been my preference. I like the way they look like an ordinary sneaker from the front. Not sure I like the side and back view as much. The wedge doesn't look as modern as a flat or flat-form to me. But it might be more flattering and make me look taller/thinner. Which I need at the moment -- I'm currently wearing some Winter fluff. Plus I have a stubborn stye in my eye, have not worn make-up for ONE WEEK, do I feel naked!!!! Which explaining the shifty side glances and sunglasses.

Pictures 7-9 Brooks sneaker via Nordstrom. These were purchased for function, they are comfortable too. I do think they have some style integrity as well. Brooks were my first running shoe ever, I remember graduating from Keds up to Brooks!

But -- what's up with those super long laces?

Please comment freely on each one of these -- thanks!
