K/R - Rag & Bone booties

As seen with a number of different bottoms. What do you think? I also have these two pair under consideration:

1-2-3: Medium grey jeans
4-5: Worn with pants over the boots
6-7: With light colored bottoms
8: With darker wash jeans
9-10: The Rag & Bone black Newburys I currently own.

So -- here are my questions. Do you like the way these grey boots look? Are the grey boots a bit redundant or different enough than the black ones I own? Would a lighter color boot such as shown in the above links be better?

I really like them! I think a grey a d ack pair is ok to have. I actually really want a pair of the grey suede Harrow booties. Have your tried the Harrows?

Anyway, I love the grey Ndwbury on you and I say keep!

Raisin -- yes I've tried the Harrows but returned them. I only tried them in black though. They might be more flattering in grey. In black they ended at an unflattering point on my ankle, oddly enough.

I am really into grey -- it is a year-round color, has the neutrality of black but is not as harsh on my complexion as black.

What do you think of the canvas booties? I like the way they lace so I can get a good fit on my leg, but the fabric aspect concerns me.

I think the grey are perfect. I love these boots! I've ordered and returned them twice - the heel is just a bit too high for me.

The canvas ones look pretty, but I share your concern about how well they'd hold up.

I have only seen he canvas ones online (well I've only see any of them online ). I didn't realize they were canvas until I read the description. I really liked the look of the grey ones but I think I wouldn't like the canvas material. I'd want leather like the ones you have here

I think these are a 10 for you! They look great with everything and are very different from the black ones. I can see why you're gravitating towards gray. It really fits in with your coloring and even seems to bookend your hair, not that your hair is gray but that the gray and your hair are similar midtone neutrals. I like the lace-up ones too but not instead of these grays.

LOVE. The color is so great especially with the lighter bottoms. But you know I love low contrast pants and shoes.

Shopbop makes it so easy with the sale price and free shipping and returns! Plus I had some store credits. Girl math and all that. o_O

I think the canvas is right up there with suede for being hard to clean. The more porous the material, the harder to clean.

These feel really comfortable to me and not too high, although I tend not to wear shoes like this for an entire day.

I am biased because I have these in a sparkly gunmetal, but I think they look great. I can totally justify black and grey booties!

LOVE the gray, there is something about the slightly softer color that is so appealing. I can see how the tie canvas pair is so tempting but would also be concerned about keeping them clean.

I really like the grey & think the give a totally different feel from the black, so you need both Are they comfy as in walking around comfy? My only concern would be the heel height - I would buy these for sure if they were a little lower.

I think they look fantastic on you and grey is a fab colour to have in your wardrobe - goes with so many of your fantastic jeans (and other bottoms as well of course). If they are comfy, I say keep.

Hi I have same situation. I really think that they are not different enough from black so I didn't go for grey. They look good with all the outfits- but so would black. Love the black and white pants!.
IMO if you want different, the second pair in pics are the GO.

I say keep the grey as a clear alternative to the black. They give a different mood altogether, enhancing your blondness and lengthening your legs, and are nice to have on days when black is too strong for how you feel.
(So long as they are comfortable.)

Thanks for the votes so far... it looks like they are meeting with YLF approval. They are sitting at the foot of my bed at the moment where I can admire them. (I once almost kept a pair of booties because I liked looking at them.)

As I said before I ordered the Deacons (lace up in tan canvas). I know the canvas is impractical but I'm thinking Scotchguard? Also I like the way they are different, lace up, and you can fold them over for a really edgy Euro look.But we shall see if they look good or work on me. Sometimes the best part of shopping is waiting for the package to arrive after you hit the "buy" button!

As far as the heel height goes -- I've had the black Newburys since last November and haven't suffered in them yet. Although I doh't pick challenging occasions for them.
