K/R -- Again, white jeans agony

Once again I need your advice! Which white jeans?

1&2. Boyfriend white jeans from Current/Elliott. Shown in the larger of the two sizes.
3&4. Current/Elliott one size down. These have 2% spandex, they will stretch out beyond what is pictured.
5. The original Paige skinnies I posted about several weeks ago.

And, some more sweaters to consider.
6&7. Helmut by Helmut Lang. Front shown with smaller C/Es. Back shown with larger C/Es.
8&9. Helmut Lang grey and white. Both front and back with larger C/Es.

Which of the three jeans would you recommend? Which of the two sweaters?

Ooh! Denise, you look amazing in the white and neutral palette. Just radiant!!

But I see the dilemma, at least I think I see it. This is a tough call.

The Current/Elliotts are fun, funky, and will probably be cooler because even though they have spandex, they are looser. Plus, you've been enjoying the BF silhouette in summer. So you might get the most wear from them.

They look really good, too, though I'm not too confident about the size. My inclination is to go for the larger, but if they really will bag out a lot, then maybe not. The only thing that is giving me pause is the pocket show through. It is probably largely a function of the flash. Still....it would bother me, if it shows that much IRL.

Meanwhile, there is none of that with the Paige jeans. But they are indisputably a skinny. Can you wear skinnies? Heck, yes!! You look great in them. But if you feel less than fab, will you wear them?

As for the sweaters, could you please keep them both and send them to me when you get tired of them?

I still like the original skinnies. Much better than the first two IMO. I also like the first HL sweater.

The pocket show through is really bugging me with those jeans Denise. Otherwise they are cute. I'd go with the larger size, but I tend to do that. Does Paige have a similar pair in a straight style? The sweaters look great - love the taupe/tan and gray mix.

The visible pockets bother me too. I much prefer the Paiges, although I understand the desire for a looser silhouette for summer.

I have a pair of white Paiges from last year that are not quite so skinny -- they're more like straights -- so I know they made some non-skinny white jeans, and the pockets do not show on mine at all. The weight is very nice. I can't recall the name of that particular model, but maybe a search will turn them up online. I think I got mine through Zappos.

I like the sweater in 6/7 better than the last one on you.

Thank you for all of the responses so far! Between the two sizes of C/Es, I am also preferring the larger size. And I think the pockets could be shortened so they don't show through. Although that is a pain.

I'm a big hater on the pocket show through, too. I don't think that anything short of cutting them out and closing them up is going to take care of the problem, and who wants jeans without pockets? I think the Paige skinnies are much nicer. Plus, aren't you practically sworn off of white jeans. You look so fabulously gorgeous in the Paige skinnies, who needs another pair of white jeans?

On the sweaters, I have nothing useful to add. I like 6/7 best. I have a poison eye for the pattern on 8/9, because it reminds me of Cosby sweaters from the '80s. Since I can't see 8/9 objectively, my preference for 6/7 has to be taken with a grain of salt!

I love the idea of white distressed boyfriend jean. But just not these. Beside the pocket issue I think the should be tapered more at the roll. But you could always peg them.

Hmmmm, I don't really like the pockets on the front of the CE jeans. You can see this huge pocket though the material. I do like the fit of the larger ones though, and the pocket is less noticeable.

I think finding white jeans in a slouchy or loose form like the CE would be great, but I have to say the Paige skinnies look fantastic on you, and I would definitely keep those! You could have skinny white jeans and a BF pair.

Anna, that was the first thing that struck me about the C/Es but oddly the wide leg has started to grow on me. Maybe it just looks fresh to me again. (This is the older cut of bf jeans that C/E was famous for.)

I like the position of the distressing, most jeans have holes around the knees which bugs me.

Paige has an option too.

I often don't comment here lately, but your style is so much like my own. I like the bigger size Current Elliotts on you...and I like all the sweaters, so I am no help there. The skinnies look great on your too, just totally different. I am going more baggy in my style these days, so my eye tends to like that. I don't have issues with the visible pockets...looks fine to me.

I love both the sweaters! My concern with the white jeans was the width at the bottom of the jeans, but it sounds like you like that about them. Both pairs seem to fit ok, so I think it's up to how you want to wear them - are you looking for a looser BF style or a somewhat tighter fitting jeans?

I'm feeling the same way as Rae and prefer the Paige. The visible pockets would be agony-inducing to me in the C/E, but you look good in them. I really like the first sweater in 6 and 7; it's a beauty with your skin.

The pockets on the C/E are annoying but you can have them completely removed by a seamstress. I've had that done - they just simply cut them out and stitch the pocket shut. But I'm wondering if once the pockets were gone, if you would need to worry about your underwear showing through too much?

I do like the fit of the larger pair of C/E - they almost have a loose linen trouser look about them in the pic.

I adore both sweaters and think you need to keep them both.

I like the bf white jeans more than the skinnies. You definitely have the shape for the skinnies, but I guess I find the bf shape more appealing right now. I want the legs to taper more though, so not sure these are exactly the ones. I like both sweaters but the first one has a better shape I think.

I am in the minority but i like best of these three jeans the CE in the smaller size... The front pockets would need to be sewn shut and lining removed though i think. I have a handful of jeans without front pockets for this or just bc that is how they are and i find that back pockets are sufficient for me. Love both the sweaters. They look delicously drapey and the graphic print is so fab!

Paiges and both sweaters. If you keep only one, i lean toward the oatmeal with the higher front hem.

Denise, I really like the skinnies. The two BF options just don't do you justice. And I like both sweaters but am not 100% on the one with the pattern.

Thanks again for the advice. I will now hang on to the Paiges, thanks for all of the support. Honestly my concern is about the age appropriateness of the jeans but that didn't come up this time (maybe only in my head). The bigger bf jeans seem appealing for heat control. I will hang on to them a bit longer, maybe try the jeans from Kut on as a comparison. Thanks for the suggestion Angie.

Honestly the more I look at the C/Es the long rise, long enough so that there is a fold on both sizes, kind of bothers me. More than the visible pockets actually or the wide opening. I guess this is a time when I need to be PPP. About all three problems. As much as I love the fabric and distressing and comfort.

The jeans in 3, 4, and 5 look great -- the others look too big. These are white so they will visually expand the areas they cover. I love the sweater in 6. The v neck and high low hem work well to give the sweater a relaxed shape.
