General heels q/Kenneth Cole Cedar City sizing?

Remember the Kenneth Cole Reaction Cedar City sandals Angie blogged about last year?

I was always bummed I never got a pair, because I adored the way Angie posted these shoes worn with stirrup tights.

For those of you that got them (there were a few), how have they held up over time? And how does the sizing run? I've found a few pairs of size 9.5s on ebay. I'm usually a 10, but sometimes a 9.5 will work if they tend to run large.

Otherwise I've been thinking about the cage shoes that seem to be all the rage right now. I like the look of them too, although am dubious about whether as a non-heel wearer I could stand, let alone walk in them. Maybe the Sofft ones in the ylf store could work?

I don't know why I'm so attracted to these heeled shoes when I live in flat sandals, ballet shoes and cons. Maybe Melbourne fashion is affecting me already. Things definitely seem stepped up a bit in general here I feel! Would these shoes work with stirrup tights/hose underneath, or bare legs only?

Otherwise I really love Marianne's Fly London booties. That could be a nice option for winter here with a smaller heel.

What do you think I should do? Try the Kenneth Coles, albiet maybe a smidge small? Investigate comfy caged shoes? Forget all about heels and stick with my flats?

I found the shoes to be true to size (I'm 7.5 and got 7.5). I haven't worn them that much though, so can't comment on wear.

It'd be fun for you to get a heeled pair to play around with, barring any foot/comfort issues. If I were you, I'd get a trendy pair (like cage ones), for something completely different.

Tam, the heels on those Sofft shoes are huge!

Since you are heading into winter and you have the FL Vidal pumps which are basically the same, I'd go with those. You'll have plenty of options when summer rolls around again.

Funny you should ask this....I am a 9.5 but bought these in a 10 and feel I could have easily gotten a 9.5. To me, they are probably true to size. I didn't get the 9.5 at the time bc my foot kept sliding forward and then my toe would come off but I could have solved this with a little foot petal or something. The 10 that I bought leaves almost an inch beyond my toes which is not great looking and sometimes tricky to walk in. So if you are a 9.5 you probably can just get that. It is so hard with these two sizes because so many manufacturers tend to make so little difference between these two sizes.

Hi Tam, I don't really know about the heeled sandals but I think the FLY boots would be great on you. Give them a go so that I can turn green with envy!!

Hahah Maya I know they are! I don't know what has gotten into me. I'm sure I couldnt stand or walk in them, but to quote Project Runway, they look "fierce"!! I've gone back and looked at them several times in the ylf store now. They are very Melbourne I have to say, but then again the fly boots would be too!

Of course An is right, we are going into winter here. And An and Maya are right, those Fly boots sure are cute. But what if I am still wondering about these Cedar sandals *next* summer?

Ok now the evil part of me is remembering I am doing my tax return tomorrow. Maybe if I get a good one I should splurge. Arghhh...temptation!!

Tam, my vote is for the Sofft sandals! They do look fierce and I've been coveting them myself. Hot and comfortable, rare combo Although, since it is cooling down for you, you could afford to wait a while to nab them when they're on sale rather than pay full price. That might give you the flexibility to consider the FL boots too.

I bought two pair of the KC Cedar City Wedge sandals last summer. The pewter and a darker tan. I love them, and they have held up well. I really dislike flats on me, and these were my trusty summer sandals all season long. They still look great and I've already worn them this year.
I have some in a 7 and some in a 7.5. I waffle between the two sizes, but the 7s fit best in the KC sandals.
If you can't find those anymore, look for this season's version which is very similar

Vani you enabler!! I've jusst discovered they are sold out in my size(s) on zappos anyway so this is a moot point for now!

And Sarah thanks for the tip!Our Target never has the same items, which kinda sucks. I am going to have to have a little thinky about this KC dilemna though I think!

LOL! Tam, seriously though, have you find someone who is selling the KC sandals? They have been awfully hard to track down. Let me know if you need help with that. If you do know where to find them, I know shana is looking for a pair too. Keep us posted on your decision! Again, I personally think the Sofft sandals would look hot on you

You know for me at least, I think it's the lure of the unattainable! I had on the KC's at least a few times and they never really did it for me (in terms of comfort with my fussy feet). I couldn't even bite the bullet when they were marked down to $24 at Dillards at the end of the season but as as soon as I saw Vani's cute little feet in them, I wanted them! I'll keep an eye out for your size - did you check ebay? There seems to be quite a few 9.5 and 10's available.

Vani only place I have looked on is ebay! There are 2 pairs of 9.5s now, both similar price. Shipping to aus is almost as much as the shoes though hehe. Although having said that I nearly have enough in my paypal acct from sales to cover entire cost, so it'd be like a free pair of shoes really, wouldn't it? Hows that for logic!

Shana I know what you mean about the unobtainable. Aren't we women fickle! Maybe that's why I'm obsessing after these Softts, because I know they are already sold out in my size too! Maybe they'll turn up soon on ebay too hehehe.

Hehe I know what you mean Maya. But surely having one pair of pretty shoes to look at is fun too? A girl can dream they might be comfy, right? Sold out in my size anyway, so even if I wanted to I couldn't go too crazy which could be a good thing hehe!
