Keeping it simple - basic white shirt

Love the helpful tips that so many of you post! Angie (and many others) have recommended the Brooks Brothers no-iron shirt and it's quickly becoming one of my wardrobe staples. I slipped over the border with my sister to pick it up - she thought I was crazy for spending so much on a basic item. I thought the opposite - if it gets a lot of wear - then it is worth every penny. Love how I can emerge from a long drive wrinkle-free - well at least clothes-wise

We are lucky to be close enough to the border to make the trip easily too. I think your outfit looks cool, comfortable and put together. The red shoes stand out against the neutrals. Nice.

SO crisp and yet comfortable looking, and approachable. That's fantastic that the BB shirt has been such a hit for you! I'm really envious of the impeccable fit of your trousers as well. I'd wear pants for sure if I could find some that fit me as well as yours do. I like the slight but not exaggerated slouch.

Very nice outfit. If you are a jewelry person I'd add a chunky red necklace, but nothing is really needed here.

Thanks for the positive feedback everyone! The red shoes were an after-thought, and a lot of fun to wear - bonus that they are so comfortable.
Jem - I think you could totally pull off the white shirt - give it a whirl!
I hear you about pants Kari - it's hit or miss isn't it? Your trousers are out there - just waiting for you to discover them.

The shirt is immaculate. It's the first time I have heard about this wrinkle-free fabric- what is it and where can I get one?
I am also really enjoying wearing a similar coloured loafer that seems to 'go' with everything and is very comfy!

I love how simple and casual this is, yet so polished.

I agree that those shirts are worth it. Mine won't see much wear in our hot summer weather when I avoid most sleeves, but come the cooler months I find my BB shirts indispensable!

The BB blouse is a terrific item, but you have managed a fabulous styling of it here -- a crisp shirt worn casually, with modern cut trousers and a pop of color in the shoe. Brava! Good to see you post!

Yay! Another BB shirt twin! The button front looks especially fab on you Merwoman, and I adore those red shoes. I can't believe they're that comfortable because they look so nice.

I'm just getting up off the floor - thank you ladies for all your kind words - and thank you Angie for the K rating!
Now I'm not a sales rep for BB, but I have to tell you that I took the pics at the end of the day, I had the shirt on for at least 12 hours, and had driven 2 hours in traffic to get home. If that isn't wrinkle-resistant don't know what is
Claire - so glad we can be BB twins (and Janet and others as well!) - and the shoes are that comfortable. I bought them last August, and have tried to find a link for you - but no luck. I've had very good luck with Naturalizer.
