Keep or Return/Resell: Celtic knotwork bags?

My order of Celtic bags arrived today... wow, I'm glad the one I originally had my eye on sold out, because that style is HUGE (same as the yellow version shown below), and I wouldn't have tried the other styles.

1- My favorite of the lot - canvas with leather handles and straps. This one is also available in yellow. $30, down from $170

2 - Way too big to use as a purse. Canvas with leather handles and a nylon strap. I'd only use as a travel bag... do I need that? $40, not sure of orig. price, as it is now sold out.

3 - I thought I'd like this one more, but it seems very flat and boxy on my body. The strap also feels too long. $30, down from $170. Also avail. in yellow.

I actually really like the smaller last one. But I'm not much on big bags in general. Love the outfit here with all of them!!

Agree about the last one being the most keep-able, IMO. The first two are enormous! Wow.

My favorite is the last one-- the first two do seem to big on little ole' you. I love the orange with the olive coat. Beautiful-- plus the hardware/handle is cool. If you choose not to keep it I would definitely consider purchasing it from you given a little more info on it.

I like the scale of 6-7, I think it works best with your body.

I really like the patterns, but IRL I only like 6/ 7 on you. I'm not loving the yellow with that brown at all (and I really like yellow normally - could be computer color translation). The larger is really a tote and not practical for wearing/carrying.

Well, I cannot argue with Angie - especially when she agrees with me.... lol

The bad news is that hubs thinks these all make me look "ready for the circus." I'm going to hold on to #1 for now, and maybe contemplate a DIY instead. I do have some time to think about it. :T

#1 is my favorite for you, too. It's large, but I like the shape and length better than #3, and somehow it just makes more of an impact on me in the larger scale. The colors and the design are so pretty.

I like #3 the best! I think the bags are big but they look really interesting especially with your neutral, simple outfit. They would look ridiculous with a busy, colorful outfit though so that could be a problem if you are like me and carry the same bag all the time!
