I gasped when I saw these bags covered in Celtic knotwork patterns, and I was set already calculating a DIY when I discovered them for $40 and $50... there is also a b/w duffel for $100, but I think it is probably too big.

I have two yellow bags and a cognac. Those are both leather, and these are nylon, which would be nice for rain and for when I want/need to have something lightweight. My favorite is the orange... I could count this as my birthday or x-mas gift to myself instead of a green bag if I must.

What do you guys think?

Edit: created some potential outfits in Photoshop... yep, I'm home alone tonight...

Those are nice bags and very reasonably priced. (wishing I didn't already have a perfectly serviceable tote).

I wonder how much extra use you'll get out of the orange when you already have a cognac/bright bag. If it means having to forgo the green bag, which gives you more variety/versatility, imho, then I'd skip this one. If you can get both though, I vote yes.

I *can* get both... won't break the bank. The green one I'm trying out is on its way to me for $70, down from over $200. I guess I feel automatic guilt planning to buy 2 bags, but I'm paring down my bag collection, and I should be able to fund the new ones ok. So really it's an even trade... eh? eh?

Oh, that's pretty! I would just get one. I have made the mistake of getting an item in two colors and then find I REALLY favor one of them and wish I'd gotten something different.

Una, the green one I'm referencing is totally different. It's to replace a super heavy leather tote I am parting ways with. I think this site has the most pics:

Rae-- I really love this bag and could see it being versatile enough given your style. I don't like fabric bags, but sturdy nylon makes a good 2nd or third bag for someone that has a few and changes frequently. I LOVE the pattern and the color-- but of course I love orange. I think that it is both and interesting piece but also subtle enough to go with most things (maybe with the exception of other crazy prints in non-coordinating colors). It would look just as smashing with a LBD and trench as it would with a army green military jacket.

Here's the thing with patterned purses - you want a shape that no one
would confuse at a distance with you carrying a gift bag!

I was so, so sad... almost in tears. I always seem to make the wrong choice on whether to wait or pounce. I ended up buying three to check out in person, and I will have 20 days to return. They all have removable crossbody straps. The yellow won't work with most of the outfits above, but I'll take a look and see what else might go.

On the plus side, my green bag arrived this morning, so I will be able to try that on with some outfits tonight.
