Keep or Return -- 2 NAS items, 1 Leather Jacket

These pieces need to be 7+ for me to keep. Because at my age, I don't think anything can be a 10, the highest that I now strive for is 9, with 8 being excellent and 7 being very good. I don't have room in my closet for anything lower.

1/2 -- NAS Joie silk tunic. Unpressed, sorry, no time, too hot.

3/4/5 -- NAS Halogen knit top. #3 shows it worn hiked up; #4 is pulled down tunic length; #5 is from the back. I have never owned Halogen before, do the items hold up? (Pilling, etc.)

6/7/8 -- Michael Michael Kors black leather moto jacket. Leather is very soft. Sleeves obviously too long (short arms here). Shown front (#6), side (#7), and unzipped (#8).

WhatEVER! I think 1 and 6 are totally 10s, as are your rockin wedge shoes. I also think the sweater will be a great fall counterpoint to your pops of color (like the bright pants you showed them with here).

What do you mean "at your age nothing can be a 10?" You most certainly are a 10! All the pictures are stunning! (Who are you comparing yourself to? Stop it right now! I'm your age, and I do understand the feeling, but we really have to stop thinking of ourselves as somehow "less than" because we aren't 22 anymore.)

You look amazing in blue, and I have serious leather jacket envy. You are the very definition of a cool Californian!

I'm of the mindset that we can have 10s at ANY age, and your leather jacket look is DEFINITELY a 10 in my book!

I love the color of the first item, but I am not really a fan of the non-fitted look (although I know many others are). As for the other top, I would love to see it in a more vibrant color. I seem to remember seeing that same top on others here in brighter colors and that might edge the top closer to a 10 for you, IMHO.

I don't know how old you are, but you look great!

Huh, all I am seeing are 10s over here. I like the sweater hiked up here but would pull it down over dark bottoms. The only question is are you sure you want a black leather jacket because your coloring is very delicate. No doubt you can pull off the black though. I love the style.

Hmm, I want that sweater. Why do I want to steal everyone's clothes lately? I think it is called NAS envy.

OMG, Denise. You are a 10! I love the Joie tunic--that one is for sure a 10. The cowl sweater looks great and so does the jacket. My favorite piece is the blue--you look amazing in blue : )

Ummm excuse me who the devil told you that you can not be a 10 at your age!! Every thing you have there is a winner, I agree with Scarlet about the black with your delicate colouring. Have you thought of Grey or Tan?? Mind you black in winter is always a winner :0

the blouse and jacket are solid 10's.
I love the fit of the sweater, but I"m not sure I love the color. Did you try any of the other colors in this?

Hmmm...I getting on a plane right now to fly out to CA and knock some sense into you! You score 10's all the TIME. And the silk blouse is a definite 10. The sweater is a 9 IMO. I'm a bit of a spanner on the moto jacket, as I'm wondering whether the shoulders are too broad? But I'm not an expert on these matters.

You get 10s from me as well. The blue blouse is lovely. The colour works so well on you, particularly against your hair. The leather jacket...wow! I have no idea how old you are but your age doesn't change the fact that you ALWAYS look amazing. You carry off that really cool, edgy look better than any 22 year old I've seen:).

Agree with the comment about the black being a bit harsh against your coloring, then I think it's a tad bulky. I take it that's the smallest size?

Even with that, I'd still put it in the 7+ category. [I'd actually really love to see you in the EmmaPeel-y black leather jacket Kyle tried unless it's *too* streamlined and you want a slightly tougher vibe.]

Denise, I give all three pieces a ten! I LOVE the blouse on you! I think the sweater will be a great versatile piece and the jacket is absolutely amazing.

The Joie blouse was made for you! Now that I see it on you, I am second guessing it for me. I just reread the description and the sleeves are described as bracelet length, which they are on you (perfect in my opinion). They are at least 2 inches shorter on me. I'm not sure what to do now. - I like it so much better on you.

Okay, more specifically, I love the tunic and the sweater. They are 10s in my book. I would love the jacket if the sleeves were a little slimmer-fitting. Somehow I want to see a skinnier sleeve, if that makes sense?

The leather jacket is fabulous, and you look great (a 10 :)) in it! I think that the first silk blouse is definitely a keeper, great color on you. I'm not a huge fan of the "surrendering your waist" look personally, but this top is slim fitting enough and looks good as is...you could experiment with belting it. I prefer the halogen hiked up. If I were to pick one item to go, it would probably be the halogen, though I do like it.

that leather jacket is made for you (push up the sleeves). the blue of the shirt really lights up your face and i like the column of blue in 1-2.

Thanks for all of the wise words. I think I will keep the peacock blue Joie top. I have 2 other Joie tops and really like them so I think this one will be worn with pleasure like the others.

I think the Halogen top will go back. My favorite angle of it is from the back, and that's not good enough.

I am uncertain of the MK leather moto jacket. I feel it is a bit big around the shoulders and arms. It is a size S, that was the smallest. I have around 2 more weeks to return it so I'll think about it.

What I would rather have is a heavier shearling leather jacket to wear in colder weather. I have many jackets for cool weather but my cold weather coats (minus 49, for example) consists of one 15 year old coat and several North Face parkas (we're talking serious gear).

You look great in everything but my favorite is the Joie silk top. I've glad that you're keeping it. It looks better on you worn untucked than any I've seen it on yet...not too much volume to completely obsure your waist and the color! Oh the color! You can wear this when you're really old and grey and look fabulous.

I dearly <3 both the pieces that you've chosen AND your overall sense of style. If you're going to call either of them "not a 10", please consider sending it northward to Seattle, where I will treasure it and jealously guard it forever and ever.

PS -- please also keep the jacket, both it and the silk blouse are AMAZING! I think the Halogen top looks good when yanked downwards, but I wouldn't want to wear something that I'd have to be tugging all the time.

Excellent choice, it was my favourite of the three.

Hey, at -30 and below nothing beats gear. Do Inuvik parkas count as gear? They are my favourite cold weather casual coats. The ones made in Quebec aren't nearly as warm.
