Angie - If you take my pics, and the pics from the katespade site, my trench in real life is the colour right in the middle of the two. A touch yellower than my pics, a touch whiter than the katespade pics, but nothing I would consider to be tan. The colour I bought was called 'perfect beige' - I wonder if they sell a second colour in store?
AG - That really was my big concern before it arrived, that the flare would be more extreme than pictured, but it's pretty true to the site images. What might be bothersome to some is that the shape is there to stay; it's a bit stiff/crisp so it's never going to flatten down.
