Kari & Suz made me do it.keep, alter or return?

A girl can just take so much of it.That is why after seeing Kari & Suz rocking the dress i had to try one myself.
If you truly hate it I will return it.Otherwise I will keep it.If so, do you think i should taper it a little bit?

I'm no pro at certain areas of fashion but dresses/skirts are definitely my thing. I would say keep and hem it to just above knee to show some leg. It is otherwise quite flattering on your figure. Nice pick!

As for pencil or A line - personally, I would go for pencil because that's just how I roll. But in your case, both could work!

Lovely dress, and I like it both ways. Some tapering might be a good idea, but I'd first need to see you wearing it with heels before I could say for sure.

thank you for your input. the idea of tapering was more in line with Angie's advice to wear more tapered dresses if you are not so tall but want to wear the midi trend.
I also wouldn't be wearing it with very high heels.

I really love the pencil silhouette on you! Such a gorgeous dress. in the more tapered shape I actually like the length as is.

I agree it's a little hard to judge with bare legs and feet. My sense is that heels would really make this look, either one. Could you tolerate a 2" heel?

OK, now I just have to drive to Toronto, go to Cassis and buy the same dress:-)
Try it with the heels - they make all the difference. I like A-line on you but maybe a bit shorter. If you go with the pencil I would not make it very tapered but a bit closer to straight skirt with slight tapering.

I'm going to be a complete spanner. I vote NO tapering, but just a little shortening, Celia. Add the heels and you are good to go.

It's going to look as killer on you as it does on Suz and Kari

sorry, had to log off for a couple of hours.
I am happy that you like it because it is a very comfortable and interesting shape sweater dress.
@Kari - my husband's take is that it looks nice.I think what made it dismiss it the first time was the fact that it was still early fall and his eyes were not adjusted to winter fabrics and darker colors.

@Sveta and Angie my first impulse was to shorten it but I was wondering about the new midi looks.
As always your opinion is invaluable.Thank you all.

Celia, you look gorgeous in this dress. I think that its really a matter of your personal preference as both silhouettes look lovely on you. I personally don't enjoy an Aline skirt on myself, but you wear it well.

Celia, I think you should keep midi length but shorten it a bit - maybe just below the knee cap. I would suggest to pin it on different lengths - like 1 inch at a time, take pictures and then look at them together. You should be able to spot the "sweet' length and if you have doubts - we are here! Just remember to take pictures with some heels.

YAY!!!!! I'm so glad you went for it. It is going to be GORGEOUS with your colouring and your beautiful eyes. Those of you who have not had the pleasure of meeting Celia in person just cannot understand what beautiful eyes she has!! This dress will make them glow.

I love the idea of shortening it a touch and leaving it A line. It is an easier alteration, too!

I'll agree with all the diverse opinion, ha -- I'd try shortening the A-line version (pinning or binder clipping it up bit by bit, per Sveta's advice) or thinking about doing a less extreme taper (TBD length after you experiment).

Let us know what you decide...I love a good reveal!

I don't like pencil. Everybody wear pencil! A-line looks much softer and nicer, plus it's original.
