K-R :Dress ordered and here

I had asked for dress guidance here.

Though I loved the red dress as suggested by the forum members, it was not available in my size and I ordered the petrol blue one instead.

It arrived today and DH loves it on me.(Frank warning: DH loves dress on me :D)

It has some kind of pleating in the center which looks weird in photo but not IRL. Hubby found it strange too that it kind of appears wonky in the photo but assures it doesn't `look this way.

Kindly excuse the mad hair.And this is no way styled :D.

What do you say? Is this ok?or shall i return ?

ETA: You can clearly make out my pear shape here :D...

You look lovely! The ruching is lying a little strangely in the photo, but the dress overall is great. The colour is beautiful on you.

I noticed in another post that you said you feel uncomfortable in dresses, and you look a little uncomfortable in this picture. Or are you just camera shy? This dress is nice, but if you're just starting off, you may like a dress with a more substantial fabric and more structure. It wouldn't hug your curves quite so much (which I'm sure is what DH loves).

I am also a pear, and I have a rough time finding dresses to fit me unless they are stretch, but if you put in some time at the department store, maybe you'll find something you love!

I think you look stunning! You have a gorgeous figure, and the dress accentuates it in a very nice way. I love dresses with ruching, and the help conceal some of my tricky spots. I think the petrol blue is a great choice for a more body con dress as it tones down the look a little.

I have been wearing it for like 3 hours now... and its comfortable.. Working from home today .. So I am doing everything I do in office :D.I feel ladylike in this :). My hesitation is it shouldn't look too sexy :D.

Lovely. I'd say it's bombshell-y for the office (IT if I'm correct?), but for going out you are sorted. I love it with these shoes and would not style it any otehr way.

You look terrific! I think you should keep it if you love it, and I think it is versatile enough for several settings. It can easily be dressed down with a denim jacket, become office ready with a blazer, and it is also good for a night out with dressy boots or pumps. I think the rouching looks fine. You are a beautiful sweetie, no wonder your DH likes how you look

I really like it also. I agree that you can easily dress it down (de-bombshell ;)) with a denim jacket (maybe white?) or a bf blazer. But it looks lovely the way it is too!
