k can shop copycat + free bin chunky knit tneck

I've switched over to Mac and suddenly with iPhoto it's so much faster and easier to edit pics. I have a huge WIW backlog that may actually see the light of day now.

As promised, I totally copied k can shop's outfit from Monday from this thread
http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....una-jacket I used my moto boots from Shoedazzle and I tucked the cami that's sort of peeking out into my jeans after seeing the pic (it's for warmth, not grinning prevention).

Bonus pics: one taken by my DD (she was so proud) and the other showing the glamorous activities I get up to in these outfits. Please note the Hallowe'en wig fail that's slowly dying on the couch, the trashed living room, and the missing couch cushion where a potty accident occured yesterday. Scarlet--this will be you soon! Muahahahah... J/K. Sort of.

Also included are some shots of a cream turtleneck sweater I found in the free bin of our laundry room. Brand is Daniel Hechter and it's 70% Shetland wool, 30% acrylic. Some judicious applications of Shout and a sweater stone revived it. Does it work on me? Better with longer shirt under it or not? Should I try it over dresses/skirts instead of or in addition to jeans? Does it qualify as a chunky knit?

I love that jacket - I may have to copy this look too! It looks fantastic on you! I prefer the sweater without the longer shirt under it, I think it makes the sweater look too small. It looks like it fits perfectly in the other photos. I have never heard of a sweater stone, what is it?

Not sure about the chunky sweater because of the length - my eye has gotten used to longer tops, I am afraid.

I'm used to longer tops too, so I don't know how to judge the sweater. I know Angie did a post on cropped sweaters very recently. I need to revisit that.

Love #1 - great proportions for you. I think I like the sweater best in #6, just on its own with the dark jeans. I'd try it with skirts too - it's a nice piece.

Weeeee! So happy to be copycatted! You look fabulous! I love the sharpness of the black and white shirt with the black jacket. Seeing it on you, I love it even more.

I like the chunky sweater, but I prefer it with the tucked undershirt like in 6 and 7. I think that shows your shape better. Somehow, with the longer shirt underneath, I think it hides your lovely curves and seems more solid than the tucked/cropped look.

BTW, love seeing the chaos. My home is inevitably a shipwreck in the evening. Last night literally. My son tore apart our sofa cushions and every other cushion he could find to make a ship. Then he came up with an elaborate narrative about our shipwreck. Then the cushions got tossed around. So I'm really feeling a little twin-ish with you!

As for the living room mayhem - you look stylish in the midst of it.

As for the chunky knit pullover - it looks just a little too short to my eye, and not quite deliberately cropped either. Perhaps with a skirt?

My house may be a wreck, but at least my clothes are presentable. That's my mantra some days!

I'll try the sweater with a skirt tomorrow. If it doesn't work, back to the free bin it goes--someone else will use it. If only all shopping was so easy!
