I was planning to wear the Statue of Liberty tee and white jeans with the red cotton jacket but, with Trump spending Bably needed National Park money on a military I was more in a mourning mood and changed to the black jacket.
Accessory for the challenge is a clear pale grey lucite necklace, bottoms under consideration are a relatively new pair of white Madewells. I will be interested in how you feel these look.
I welcome you input on everything and styling, shoes are silver loafers slides from last summer. Bag is an old silver Hobo. Earrings were sparkly stars. What do you think?

Rachylou, it is a Levi shirt that I found on a sale rack a few years ago. I loved the graphic and shrunk it in the dryer.

I love the version with the black jacket. A very modern look, that relaxed longer blazer with the white rolled up pants. The metallic shoes are perfect with it and, together with the statement necklace, make the whole thing very you.

Nemosmom, I hope the Madewells are keepers. They feel good on and are thick so not see-through.
Torontogirl and Jenni, I hesitated to post anything political but sometimes it is hard not to when it comes to fashion.
Suntiger, I know what you mean about the in-your-face holiday outfits. Last year I think I did navy and blush or peach and navy.
Kkards, Spellcheck wants to change your name to Kardashian! I loved this shirt and had to find a way to wear it
Liesbeth, you are right. This outfit did feel very me. I had thought I would change into a grey and white striped sundress later for a BBQ but did not.

I feel your pain wrt National Park Budget.

You look fabulous. The white jeans look great. How do they feel on? I especially love the touches of metallic with this ensemble. If I am being honest, I feel the necklace overwhelms your tiny frame or it competes with the tee shirt. It was perhaps one piece too many.

Sterling, you are right. I thought I needed an accessory so used the necklace but could have showcased the earrings instead,
This is today’s challenge outfit (July 5). AG high rise ankle jeans with hens rolled, AT dress worn as a tunic, old jean jacket, Coach sequined flats, Gap small scarf knotted to make a necklace, blue (fake sapphires with silver) earrings, silver Hobo bag again. The question is about the jeans which are more of a mid rise on me. I am also questioning the dress as top. It is too short to wear on its own. Is the jean jacket too big? It is oversized but feels more comfortable that way. I welcome your thoughts.

I cannot speak to a dress over jean look. I just don't get it. I hope other more knowledgeable people will weigh in here.

Truthfully, to my eye, there are all these lines crossing your body. At the ankle. At the knee. At the waist. At the hip. My eye doesn't know where to settle. (I could be tired).

Sterling, I liked the colors and print with denim so tried it but see what you mean. Thank you for your comment. The only other outfit of a dress over pants I wear is a black dress over black skinny pants. I suspect that black on black makes the lines less obvious.

I guess I don’t like this one as much as your usual. You are my Queen of making outfits so I suppose there must be going to be the odd one I don’t like as much. What about something a bit more legging-like under rather than jeans?- as I see what Sterling means. Also I have a poison eye for denim jackets- yes, even on Angie!- and have never owned one. That could be throwing me off.

Thank you, Jenni. I feel like leggings under a dress is a very youthful, even little-girl-on-the-monkeybars look, at least that is the feeling of older women I know. I will retire this short dress and move on.

I agree that I don't like this one as much as your others... I think a straighter dress - specifically one without the elastic waist - would work over pants or jeans. The denim jacket looks like it fits, to me.

July7: EF grey pants, thrifted scarf-like nylon tie-dye tee over EF yellow tank, gifted shell necklace and scarf, gold metallic fabric Sherry Topsiders espedrilles. Assortment of bracelets. For a topper I used a long EF linen cardigan in natural ( tan) color. Bag is old grey quilted leather crossbody with gold chain. In question are the pants ( do they look groomed small?) and tee (does it look too big)? Styling suggestions welcomed too.

The pants don't LOOK small to me - are they comfortable? They work well as a fitted option under a looser tee, and I LOVE the drapey cardigan over it all. I don't have any styling suggestions - I LOVE your bracelets and how the warmth of the gold chain on your bag works with your outfit palette!

Well, this outfit I can get behind! My first reaction was that I loved it, but your question about the pants being too small made me go back and look at them more closely.

They did not look to small to me, but after you brought the issue up, they seem out of proportion with the rest of the ensemble. That does not mean the pants are too small. How do they feel?

I am going with they look great on you. Your bracelets are killer.

Thank you for your comments ,nemosmom and Sterling. The pants are comfortable but not quite as loose as before. This makes a good hot weather outfit for me., although I have not ever put these pieces together before. I had planned for bottoms to wear some old linen trousers, but they clearly did not fit, so these EF pants were a quick last minute replacement. I think the photo angle throws the proportions off.
I did learn that the linen pants do not belong in my closet. I wonder if this could be a summer festival outfit?
