Sorry for the grainy picture quality on my tablet.

Does this outfit qualify for Just Flattering Enough or Frumpy?

I wore this to church today and in the mirror it seemed JFE but now that I see the photo, I'm thinking it looks frumpy?

I really like the 2014 boxy silhouettes, but maybe boxy doesn't "get me."

Anyways, honest feedback and opinions welcomed. Please don't let me wear this again if it's a disaster!

I say definitely JFE. I really like this look. I think the boxy over full looks much more modern than if you'd tucked a fitted top into this pretty skirt.

I struggle with the boxy silhouettes as well so I can relate to your comments. Not that you need a change, but you could try faux tucking the shirt and/or a sandal with a little heel. That helps me put boxy silhouettes more into my comfort zone. YLF!

@greycat6 - faux tuck did cross my mind, but the top has two pockets near the bottom hem that make it look strange to tuck. It's hard to notice in the pic, but the espadrilles do have a 2 1/2 inch heel.

I'm another vote for JFE. I think the shapes and colours of the skirt and top make this modern and not frumpy.

It doesn't look frumpy to me however, while I find the top and skirt individually appealing, I don't see their pairing as a match made in heaven.

@Lantana - Do you think the chambray top was too light for the navy/orange/white skirt, or was it the proportions that looked off to you?

I like the top and I like the skirt, I am not loving them together though. Not sure if it is the colors or the proportion?

AJ, you're so small that volume over volume -- even if it's the current trend -- might just be too much volume on you. I don't think this looks bad (JFE is a good description), but I'm finding myself wishing for a closer fit on either the top or the bottom.
