I’ve got 2 strikes against me when it comes to denim : I refuse to spend any kind of money on jeans because they are too unpredictable in terms of fit and performance , and 2 . I’m very unadventurous and even petrified of alternative and new cuts . A toe -dip into the high rise wide leg crop trend of 2 summers ago left me traumatized to say the least . For the past 20 years or so , I’ve only worn skinnies ( which are called slim or straight leg here on the forum ) and the odd pair of low rise boyfriend jeans - which I loved. Since DD has turned into a great little online shopper , I had her order me a pair of the OG High Waist Straights from Old Navy . $35 so nobody got hurt here They are comfortable enough , but feel pretty bulky and diaperish up top . Waistband touches my lower rib cage and is plenty roomy . Lots of extra fabric in the thighs . Is this what we’re after with a straight leg now ? My inner 17 year old still thinks nice jeans should make your butt and legs look good , hence my affection for skinnier cuts with some stretch . These most definitely don’t do that . Perhaps they are more a “ mom jean “ . Lol. Do these look like I know what I’m doing in the fashion department lately ? I don’t understand jeans , to be honest .

Find coming when I can get to my computer .

Thanks for tolerating my fashion crises these days .
