Today I prepared my outfit for tomorrow (it became two outfits, so I will use the second one later). I was really longing for colour and, after working hard to rotate some wardrobe orphans and not so loved pieces for a while, I was longing for my favourite pieces and looks. And so it was.
No 1 I chose my favourite bright red wool jacket and combined it with lighter grey stretch wool trousers, black top and black boots. I added one of my favourite classic silk scarves and a snake patterned grey bag. And bright red lipstick. The novelty here - limited use of black. Happiness factor is high - because of the joyful colours, patterns and the fit of the jacket.
No 2 is the same formula - favourite grey jacket (used in outfit 7), black top, bright red wool trousers and black boots. I added a treasured vintage blue/red/white silk scarf and a large blue handbag (almost a briefcase). Happiness factor is high even here.
The red jacket and trousers are actually matching, bought as separates, but made of the same fabric. I have tried to wear them together, but have not been happy with the combination - it is very, very red. If you would have any ideas how to style such a bright red suit, I would be grateful.
So what do you guys think of these outfits? And is this dramatic style or classic? (Previously, I would say classic, but now, perhaps more dramatic ...) I am grateful for honest feedback, ideas, comments and anything that comes to mind.
