January 30x30 outfit 18 and 19 casual suit and office suit

Today, I worked from home and I only took a short trip to the office to pick up some documents. My new olive green boots have arrived so I decided to put together an outfit with the new boots. I found them on winter sale and thought they were fun.

Outfit 18 (No 1) is a "casual suit". I used the skirt previously in my weekend kitchen sink outfit and now I pair it with a matching short jacket (with a black thin button down shirt underneath). The "suit" is made of soft thick kind of sportswear material. I am wearing my new olive suede boots and I added a little patterned silk scarf and a an olive thin wool scarf. Then, I added a pair of thin light olive green leather gloves (can't help it, even if it is just for the picture No 2 is a detail of the accessories. I am quite happy with this casual combo.

I also prepared my outfit for the office tomorrow - a wool suit with an asymmetrical skirt (No 3). I am planning on wearing it with a fuchsia silk top and adding a wine red wool scarf, which has a similar structure as the suit. I will wear black opaque tights, high heeled black booties and a grey handbag (both used in previous outfits). I will add some chunky gold jewellery - a necklace and a couple of bracelets to bring in a little shine. No 4 is a detail of the necklace and the scarf. I am reasonably satisfied with this outfit, but it does not make me really happy... do not know why, maybe the lack of pattern or playfulness, simply too serious...

What do you guys think? I am grateful for honest feedback, ideas and whatever comes to mind.

I see a whole lot of gorgeous going on. Ooh, your new olive booties are awesome! How do they look with your hunting bag?
The color in outfit #2 is glorious!. Hmmm for a happiness factor, how about a brooch or a colored bag?

Mainelady, thank you very much, good idea! The grey bag is too serious to this office outfit, I will wear a snake patterned satchel instead, worn with the red leather jacket here - it is the same scarf and the bag has a lot of wine red in the pattern - yay!

Your scarf layering is amazing, Katerina. Killer skirt suit, and divine with the sporty olive boots.

Shades of fuchsia, cranberry and magenta really suit you. Speckled Squared in #4 is playfully professional. Very nicely done.

Dressy dramatic is very apt. The leather jacket and snakeskin bag are much better with the second outfit, they just sparked it up a few notches. Outfit one is great, again you’ve layered the scarves with perfection. The olive boots are awesome.
Maybe the problem initially with the second outfit was that it was just black with fuschia, maybe too stark of a contrast? And the scarf just wasn’t “bridging” the black and the fuschia for some reason. Just thinking out loud here. Thanks for sharing your outfits.

Excellent new boots - I like how the stripes play with the pattern on the scarf. The second outfit is also good but you probably miss having some fun pattern. The suit looks like it has an interesting texture, it reminds me of a thrifted St. Johns suit I have, but it doesn't show up so well in the picture. I love the gold pendant.

I like the snakeskin satchel very much with the second outfit. When I first saw your question about the second outfit, I thought maybe a different scarf? One with more movement...a little more drama.
I would love to see the burgundy speckled scarf in a casual outfit, maybe with the olive boots? Just brainstorming....

Outfit 2 - I think your changes add some "jazz" or drama to your look. I wonder if the original picture was too classic and missing some of the fun or drama that I do associate with your looks. I think the scarf and jacket were too similar maybe? I only say this as you ask for honest feedback and your sense of style is so excellent.

Jussie, thank you and thanks for your analysis! At first, I had a little problem with "Dramatic" - tried to label myself more as a Classic, but after I while, I realised I love Dramatic. It makes me happy. I embrace Dressy Dramatic.

Sal, thank you very much for your analysis! You are right, my happiness factor in outfits is usually a fun, playful and dramatic look. I have a rather conservative profession though, so I must hold back on these a little bit, trying to have fun and be appropriate at the same time. Maybe it is a good thing - it could be too much drama otherwise, LOL.

The Quenn of Gloves and Layeres Scarves here again in some fab outfits! Wondered perhaps you own gloves for summer, too! Now, that would be an incredible elegant thing! Love the new boots with the first outfit. The suit sounds an interesting fabric, kind of get it how's that and find it fun and practical. Then the second outfit. I littole sober but the pink top lightens it up just enough and I love the similar textures of the suit and the scarf(both with some contrast bobbles). Pendant is a statement and quite artsy, too:-).
