My new strategy for this year is to buy one full outfit every month. And every new outfit should mix and match with previous month outfit.
For month of January I decided to go with simple column of navy plus fun blazer. While I was looking for wool navy pants I came upon this pants that happen to make a suit with my navy blazer from last year which was additional bonus.

What do you think of this approach, have you done something like this?

I was always shopping for individual items and very rarely bought the full outfit because I already had things to go with it. But since I am still rebuilding my wardrobe, I thought maybe it is good time to try different approach. I am planning to buy 3-4 items each month in different categories. I will not get shoes every month - I should be able to reuse items from previous months to build full outfits. I like having rules and a plan, since I am very indecisive and easily overwhelmed without it.
Already looking forward to planning February outfit.
