I've Been YLF'd! White Bottoms:)

Hi Ladies,

Been on a lightening trip to Melbourne Friday/Saturday for my sister's birthday who wanted me to go and shop with her:) So being the loving sister I am... how could I say no lol.

Had a great time together, and caught up with my mum and made some great purchases for the incoming warm weather.

Everything here is new, except for the shoes which I bought last summer and still love as much now as I did when I first got them.

Worn to church today on the first of our warmer days.

I felt good in this. Just added silver hoop earrings, and a silver necklace.
Are the pants to short? They are a slim leg and I think they are ok but wanted to check. I do have other lower heeled shoes I can wear if these shoes are to high.

That draped top and pants are from Katies? Wow - YLF in them. I love the textural element the shoes add to this outfit - way nicer than the nude shoes the model is wearing. I am no expert on PPL but they look just fine to me.

Thanks Shannon. I have this 'thing' about how white pants make my legs look thick! I am going my best to get over it, because white is such a fresh and crisp option for the warmer weather.

I have the same feeling, Deb! I avoid my white jeans because of this too! But I think we are our biggest critics and others don't really notice it as much! I never thought your legs looked thick when I saw your pictures!

So pretty- love the layered top and vest.

Not an expert on pant fit. They seem in between ankle and regular length, with perhaps a less tapered hem than many ankle pants. I like the pants on you and appreciate their shape. I'll be eager to hear others thoughts on the length.

You look great in this Deb! The vest and drapey top are so nice together - and that drapey top will be good alone (when your weather gets warmer) also. The pants look like PPL to me - they have a bit of a scrunch to them at the ankles, so I think they are just fine. Also, love the shoes. All in all - you look beautiful!

I love your new pieces, they are all beautiful. As a variation, I would like to see the outfit without the vest, I think it hides the drapey top a bit - and it is beautiful enough to be a star on its own. If I see correctly, the top has a clever little panel in the middle which keeps two sides safely together and that makes me like it even more.

I understand what you are saying about how you feel in the white pants. This is how I felt for about my first 10 outings in mine. I just kept feeling -- argh! Like my thighs were whales or something!

But I persisted, and you know what happened? I completely lost that feeling. I also lost another feeling that I had at first -- you know...the feeling that everyone was staring at me and sniggering about my whale-like thighs! Or wondering WHAT I was doing in white PANTS of all things (since nobody around here wears them, well except for Mona, but she is on YLF.)

These feelings just disappeared, and now I fully enjoy them!!
