It it so cold here in the uk I'm still wearing my jumper dresses when I'd quite like to be wearing lighter weight clothing

i went out yesterday in more spring like clothing flat ballerinas breton stripe top light mac because im fed up wearing winter clothes but i also wore a thicker cardi .i live in staffordshire on a working farm and we weather watch all the time, as far as i know there is a warm front coming but that means rain as well hey ho!

Isn't there a British expression: "Cast ne'er a clout 'til May be out!"? In Canada we could say "Don't pack away your parka 'til the snow tires are off."

I have the same issue. I see all these lovely spring clothes in the stores but it's been too cold to wear them. I've been tryign to wear softer colors in heavier fabrics instead.

We had snow yesterday up north... granted, it was only a short-lived flurry that disappeared almost immediately, but I think we've had snow showers almost every day since February. The worst part of it is the impact on wildlife.

It has brought out one major failing in my wardrobe, however, which is that I have very few sweaters and long-sleeved tops that play well together. So I definitely need to keep an eye out for a few things!
