Any early impressions? I have to say I flipped through rather quickly and wasn't bowled over, but somehow I always find *something* to try on once I'm there. Curious to know if you all are seeing anything interesting to you...

Janet, I am disappointed also. Although, I have three items I want pulled before I get to my appointment. The catalog does seem smaller than in the years past.

I say the same thing every year for the NAS, ladies. Forget the catalogue and get a preselection appointment.

Susie, my picks come out midnight on the 18th of July. But preselections start on the 10th - and from the 10th through to the 17th I'll be dropping NAS shopping tips on the forum. In my zombie state laced with lots of adrenalin.

I'm so jealous, Janet. I think that I'm the very last person in the U.S. To receive a catalogue when the new ones are released. So, I got their app for my Ipad. But it's not there either yet. Patience, patience I guess.

Hmm, it looks that there might be a couple of different versions of the catalog. I could find pieces Janet mentioned, albeit my page numbers are -2 of hers and have B at the end, but none of the pieces (nor pages numbers) Deb posted about exist in my catalog at all. Very strange.

Aww, thanks Deb! Very sweet of you. Mine does have the pics #2 and #3, I just missed them because they were in a different color and with different page numbers. But it definitely misses the first pic. It looks like there might some extra pages/insets in some versions. Strange!

ETA: I like all of your choices for you, especially the jacket.

Desmo - thanks for the link! There are some Encore pieces in the catalog - if an item comes in plus sizes it's noted. But you have to read all the copy to see what's available ...

One of things that made me happy was the presence of brown. Not just for boots and bags, but for clothes. It's one of my favorite colors to wear, and has disappeared for while, as Angie talked about in this blog post http://youlookfab.com/2014/01/.....ark-brown/

I'm hoping brown is back for Fall '14!

Nadya, I noticed the return of brown too -- just when I've all but eliminated it from my wardrobe. Maybe it's good I hung onto my brown tall boots, and one brown plaid jacket...

A friend of mine got to see the shoe selection in person - not sure how she pulled this off - and she said there was NOTHING that piqued her interest. *sobbing* I so wanted a great shoe year at NAS! Fingers crossed for jackets, dresses and knitwear.

Janet - I don't have much brown LEFT! Besides leather goods, I have one long sleeved mixed media top I picked up last year, one ancient cropped cardigan still I good shape because I don't wear it much, and one drapey tee. I have one tweed jacket that has some brown, but the brown slacks I used to wear it with are long gone and I haven't been able to replace them. And my beloved brown long cardigan is ratty enough enough it's lounge wear only, now. Maybe this year I'll be able to build back up my brown capsule!
