There was a nice-looking brown and black mixed media Eileen Fisher topper in the NAS catalog -- did you see that? EF usually doesn't work great for me, but I'd be tempted to try that.
Perusing the interwebs to see if anyone had scanned in a copy of the catalog, I found a great NAS thread on purseforum.com. There folks are listing item #s for NAS items. Example: you can see the Aquatalia NAS boots by searching 801466, 801461, and 801460 on Nordstrom's site. Although Nordies shows them as unavailable and without price, the forum thread is listing prices along with item #s. The link to the forum thread is below.
I just got mine yesterday. The quilted stuff and the boots are all that really called to me. But I always find more in store. One thing I've learned is not to panic if stuff is gone, because much of it gets returned later.
You and me both, AG. Those Obsession boots are the first things I want to see. If the measurements listed are correct, they could be perfect for me. Hope calf circumference is no more than 14"...smaller would be better. Here's description on Nordies site:
1 1/2" heel (size 8.5).
15 1/2" boot shaft; 14" calf circumference. Stretches to fit calf.
Yes, everyone says they are good for skinny calves! Thanks for the links and measurements. I am worried they will be too tall, unless the height decreases a little with foot size.
The SA I shopped with last summer just called me and set up my appointment -- can't wait! He's so good -- he is already scoping out things he thinks I'll like. He really seems to get me, which is great. He also told me to email him with the items I'm really interested in, so he can hold my sizes for me. Hooray for Nordies SAs!
Janet, yes the EF topper is gorgeous! I really need a suit and other business clothes, so I'm hoping the plus size has something in that sphere - the preview was more casual. I'll definitely try on the blue dress. But as others have said, there will be more in store and I have an appt on July 10!
