It's Fall and I'm Still Wearing Shorts

Hello.

It's still warm enough in my area to wear shorts in the fall, so I've been doing just that.

#1 to #5 - White Bermuda Shorts, Floral Vince Camuto Blouse, and New Olive Sneakers
I like taking my white shorts (and jeans) and making them feel like fall by adding fall colors, or in the case of this outfit, fall patterns. This outfit gave me a chance to put my new Olive Sneakers into the rotation immediately, because I am on team "wear right away." A big thank you again to everyone who helped me pick a sneaker.

#6 to #8 - Grey Shorts and Sheer Blouse
Nothing in this outfit really says fall for color or print and I only felt "meh" in this outfit. DH wasn't a fan of the sheer blouse either. He even asked if I could return it! *laughs*

#9 - Pecan Praline Pumpkin Muffins
I made these because who doesn't like a little pumpkin in the fall?

Well, I like the sheer blouse outfit most! It's sophisticated, the elegant mules are a very nice touch. You look fab!
So now I will ask you the question I always want to ask when I see fabbers wearing shorts: do you wear them in everyday life? I mean, to go out and about, errands, shopping and such? I like shorts very much (even if I don't wear them because I don't like my legs) but anyway where I live they are mostly considered beachwear.

SarahD8 - I had to think about what I own that's full on the bottom. I don't wear skirts, but I'll give the blouse a try with maybe some wide leg jeans for volume on the bottom. Thanks for the idea. Enjoy the muffins.

Sisi - Yes, I wear my shorts all day, with whatever I'm doing. The two outfits here I was WFH but I would have worn them out if I had something to do those days. The pink shorts suit I posted here, I wore to the supermarket food shopping! I was certainly the most dressed up person in the store, but I was fine with that.

In my area, you'll see shorts everywhere, for all activities (out to eat, running errands, in the mall, etc), they are definitely not kept only for the beach. However, the shorts outfits I see are often more casual looks than what I have here (ie not paired with blazers or jackets or blouses like I've been wearing all fall).

Angie - Indeed, it takes a long time to cool down here, especially compared to the northeast. The olive sneakers were a great suggestion, they have been easy to include in my wardrobe and the color made a big difference with my outfits. Thanks for the suggestion to look for them! I also have the Olive Boden belt on order.

I'll have to give the white slides a try with outfit 1, it's warm enough that I'll probably be able to wear that combination soon. *happily collects killer rating for the shorts* These white shorts are a great length, the longer inseam means when I sit down I don't have any bare skin that can stick to the furniture. For my shorter inseam shorts, with WFH, I usually sit on a dishtowel so I don't stick to the office chair.

We usually have a big snow in autumn. I froze at Thanksgiving in Boulder, CO. and had to buy some long underwear at REI. If you go into the mountains be ready for wind, ice, and snow.
