I have been off the forum for about a year. I needed to take a break. I was buying too many clothes, most for some parallel universe where I dress up. In my real life I wear ultra casual clothes, such as fleece, hoodies, and clogs.
There have been some changes. Last year I had cataract surgery. I felt unsafe driving and it was no wonder - the optometrist said I would have failed the DMV’s eye test. It took a months and months to get scheduled, have it done, and heal from it. But I’ve come out the other side with much better eyesight. I got new glasses, too. I don’t know why, but I wanted clear frames. I love how they are practically invisible.
Another change: I’ve grown my hair out from my super short cut. I fired my stylist who was on autopilot. I haven’t decided what I want to do, exactly.
The saddest change is we lost Mr. Skunky (not his real name). He died last summer of cancer. He was a very good boy, always ready to make a new friend.
